Identification of Insertion and Deletion (InDel) Markers for Chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.) Based on Double-Digest Restriction Site-Associated DNA Sequencing

open access: yesPlants
Enhancing the marker repository and the development of breeder-friendly markers in chickpeas is important in relation to chickpea genomics-assisted breeding applications. Insertion–deletion (InDel) markers are widely distributed across genomes and easily

Combining antibody conjugates with cytotoxic and immune‐stimulating payloads maximizes anti‐cancer activity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Methods to improve antibody–drug conjugate (ADC) treatment durability in cancer therapy are needed. We utilized ADCs and immune‐stimulating antibody conjugates (ISACs), which are made from two non‐competitive antibodies, to enhance the entry of toxic payloads into cancer cells and deliver immunostimulatory agents into immune cells.

Genome-Wide Discovery of InDel Markers in Sesame (Sesamum indicum L.) Using ddRADSeq

open access: yesPlants, 2020
The development and validation of different types of molecular markers is crucial to conducting marker-assisted sesame breeding. Insertion-deletion (InDel) markers are highly polymorphic and suitable for low-cost gel-based genotyping.

A symplectic refinement of shifted Hecke insertion

open access: yes, 2019
Buch, Kresch, Shimozono, Tamvakis, and Yong defined Hecke insertion to formulate a combinatorial rule for the expansion of the stable Grothendieck polynomials $G_\pi$ indexed by permutations in the basis of stable Grothendieck polynomials $G_\lambda ...

Correlation of the differential expression of PIK3R1 and its spliced variant, p55α, in pan‐cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PIK3R1 undergoes alternative splicing to generate the isoforms, p85α and p55α. By combining large patient datasets with laboratory experiments, we show that PIK3R1 spliced variants shape cancer behavior. While tumors lose the protective p85α isoform, p55α is overexpressed, changes linked to poorer survival and more pronounced in African American ...

LABOR MARKET INTEGRATION OF HIGHER EDUCATIONECONOMIC GRADUATES [PDF]

open access: yesAnnals of the University of Oradea: Economic Science, 2010
Transition from school to work is a major research topic in the last decade (Hannan and Werquin 2001 and Ryan 2001). The main reason is related to the fact that after graduating finding a job is difficult and more often the graduates occupy vulnerable ...

Circular RNA expression landscapes in myelodysplastic neoplasms: Associations with mutational signatures and disease progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In this explorative study, the abundance of circular RNA molecules in bone marrow stem cells was found to be elevated in patients with high‐risk myelodysplastic neoplasms, and to be associated with an increased risk of progression to acute myeloid leukemia.

Substring Counting with Insertions

open access: yesAlgorithms
Substring counting is a classical algorithmic problem with numerous solutions that achieve linear time complexity. In this paper, we address a variation of the problem where, given three strings p, t, and s, we are interested in the number of occurrences

Genetic attenuation of ALDH1A1 increases metastatic potential and aggressiveness in colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aldehyde dehydrogenase 1A1 (ALDH1A1) is a cancer stem cell marker in several malignancies. We established a novel epithelial cell line from rectal adenocarcinoma with unique overexpression of this enzyme. Genetic attenuation of ALDH1A1 led to increased invasive capacity and metastatic potential, the inhibition of proliferation activity, and ultimately ...
