Classic laryngeal mask airway insertion with laryngoscope mcgrath and macintosh: A case series

open access: yesBali Journal of Anesthesiology, 2020
Laryngeal mask airway (LMA) is often performed for airway management. Correct placement of LMA can prevent severe leaks and even obstruction of the airway.

Insertion of a random task in a schedule: a real-time approach [PDF]

open access: yesETFA 2001. 8th International Conference on Emerging Technologies and Factory Automation. Proceedings (Cat. No.01TH8597), 2002
We consider a set of tasks defined by their duration and their due-date. They are performed by a single resource and scheduled in order to minimize the sum of the delays. This schedule is given. A task appears in the system at time 0. It is made of two subtasks separated by a fixed period.

Comparison of Haemodynamic Responses to Laryngeal Mask Airway Insertion and Laryngoscopy with Endotracheal Intubation in Adults Undergoing Elective Surgery at Muhimbili [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Airway management is of utmost importance during delivery of general anaesthesia. Traditionally, laryngoscopy and endotracheal tube (ETT) insertion has been the mainstay in providing adequate airway management and delivering anaesthesia.

An isoform of 14‐3‐3 protein regulates transbilayer lipid movement at the plasma membrane

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Loss of 14‐3‐3ζ in CHO cells confers resistance to exogenous phosphatidylserine (PS) and impairs endocytosis‐independent inward flip‐flop of fluorescent PS at the plasma membrane. RNAi‐mediated knockdown reproduces this defect, while no additive effect is seen in ATP11C‐deficient cells.

Efficient BIST hardware insertion with low test application time for synthesized data paths

open access: yes, 1999
New and efficient BIST methodology and BIST hardware insertion algorithms are presented for RTL data paths obtained from high level synthesis. The methodology is based on concurrent testing of modules with identical physical information by sharing the ...

Comparison of trapezius squeeze test and jaw thrust as clinical indicators for laryngeal mask airway insertion in spontaneously breathing children

open access: yesJournal of Anaesthesiology Clinical Pharmacology, 2017
Background and Aims: It is not known whether trapezius squeeze test (TPZ) is a better clinical test than jaw thrust (JT) to assess laryngeal mask airway (LMA) insertion conditions in children under sevoflurane anesthesia.

Biophysical approaches for studying viral entry

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Viruses infect all living organisms and have been responsible for major epidemics and pandemics. Their ongoing evolutionary battle with host defenses creates a constant need for improved tools to study viral behavior. Advancing methods to probe viral attachment, fusion, and genome release deepen our understanding of how infections begin and support the

Erasure Insertion in Reed-Solomon Coded SFH M-ary FSK with Partial-Band Interference and Rayleigh Fading for Non-Coherent Cooperative Communications [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
The rationale of our design is that although much of the literature of cooperative systems assumes perfect coherent detection, the assumption of having any channel estimates at the relays imposes an unreasonable burden on the relay station.

Salmonella lipopolysaccharide‐containing supported lipid bilayers as platforms to study bacteriophage interactions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We present robust protocols for the preparation of supported lipid bilayers (SLBs) incorporating either Salmonella smooth LPS or outer membrane vesicles (OMVs). We use a combination of quartz crystal microbalance with dissipation (QCM‐D) and fluorescence microscopy to both characterize the SLBs of various compositions and to probe their interactions ...
