Dataset for "Non-locking screw insertion: no benefit seen if tightness exceeds 80% of the maximum torque"

open access: yes, 2019
Screws are the most commonly used orthopaedic implant, however they are frequently overtightened when inserted. Using screw, bone and screw hole characteristics, maximum torque for a screw hole is predicted prior to insertion.

Cross‐Scale Hierarchical Targeted Delivery System Based on Small‐Scale Magnetic Robots

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
This article reviews a cross‐scale hierarchical targeted delivery system that integrates magnetic continuum robots and magnetic microrobots. By combining rapid long‐range navigation with precise microscale targeting, the system overcomes key limitations of single‐scale approaches.

In vitro evaluation of different implant systems and their influence on primary stability

open access: yesScientific Reports
The aim of this in-vitro study was to compare the primary stability and bone quality changes of three milling systems for implants. Osteotomies were performed on fresh, low-density bovine ribs using three different milling techniques for the Strong SW ...

Are joint torque models limited by an assumption of monoarticularity? [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
This study determines whether maximal voluntary ankle plantar flexor torque could be more accurately represented using a torque generator that is a function of both knee and ankle kinematics.

Bioinspired Soft‐Skeleton Robotics With Cooperative Shape Transformation and Stiffness Adaptation

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
A bioinspired soft‐skeleton robot that integrates variable‐stiffness chain skeletons into a soft textile skin is developed. The chain skeletons are highly flexible initially but can stiffen upon pneumatic actuation, enabling large deformation and enhanced load‐bearing capacity.

Technical Feasibility Study of Autonomous Field Robot‐Based on‐the‐go Assessment of Soil Nutrients Using Ion‐Sensitive Field‐Effect Transistors

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
Autonomous field robots equipped with ISFET‐based sensors enable rapid, spatially resolved soil nutrient analysis directly in the field. An automated system based on the BoniRob platform is presented for standardized on‐site extraction and measurement of key macronutrients and soil pH.

Real‐Time Holographic Feedback via Mixed Reality Sensorized Laryngoscope Training System Enhances Pediatric Intubation Training

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
We proposed a Mixed Reality Sensorized Laryngoscope Training System to provide real‐time holographic torque feedback during pediatric endotracheal intubation simulation. Visualization formats are evaluated to reduce tracking error and visual demand.

Ex vivo comparison of drilling techniques for optimizing primary stability of zirconia dental implants in different bone densities

open access: yesInternational Journal of Implant Dentistry
Purpose The objective of this study was to investigate the primary stability of zirconia implants using varying drilling protocols, with a focus on the impact of thread cutting on insertion torque in both mixed (D2/D3) and soft (D4) bone types. The study

The reliability of insertion torque as an indicator for primary stability in immediate dental implant: A prospective clinical study

open access: yesJournal of Baghdad College of Dentistry
Background: The primary stability of the dental implant is a crucial factor determining the ability to initiate temporary implant-supported prosthesis and for subsequent successful osseointegration, especially in the maxillary non-molar sites.
