Stress–Strain Engineering with Lithium Solid Solution/Lithium Alloy Composite Anodes for Stable Lithium‐Metal Batteries

A Li−Ag/Li22Sn5 composite is explored as a Li‐metal anode. The Ag‐rich solid solution guides uniform Li⁺ deposition, while the Li22Sn5 scaffold confines volume expansion. Operando stress mapping reveals mitigated stress fluctuations and homogenized stress distribution, leading to enhanced electrochemical‐mechanical stability and prolonged cycling life.
