Installation effects upon orifice flowmeters

Flow Measurement and Instrumentation, 1992
Abstract An experimental study has been undertaken to quantify the effect of the inlet velocity distribution upon the coefficient of discharge, C d . A two inch (50.8 mm) diameter orifice run was operated at a Reynolds number of 91 000 with a beta ratio, β, of 0.75.

Installation Effect on Hover Propeller Performance

2023
In this paper, the installation effects on hovering air-vehicle performance are discussed. Tractor configuration is considered which exhibits two installation effects on the vehicle performance. The first is the vertical drag due to the immersed installations in the propeller wake.

Installation effects on propeller noise

6th Aeroacoustics Conference, 1980
The installation effects on propeller noise and propeller wake flow in flight have been examined experimentally by operating a model-scale propeller in the Lockheed anechoic open-jet wind tunnel. In particular, two aspects of propeller operation in a real situation have been quantified.

Installation Effects of Landing Gears

19th AIAA/CEAS Aeroacoustics Conference, 2013
This paper is concerned with using a high-order linearised Euler solver to calculate the propagation of idealised landing gear noise sources. Two different configurations are considered. One with a flat plate and cavity to simulate wind tunnel tests and the second under a high lift wing. Both cases are considered with mean flow effects.

Installation Effects in Wind Ductwork

Volume 2: Fora, 2006
The installation effects of different installation forms in ductwork are simulated by FLUENT in this paper. The results show that the pressure losses have some relations with the distances between different components. With the increasing of the distances between the two components: the pressure loss will reduce firstly in the combination of bend and ...
