Pickering‐Engineered Microparticles for Magnetically Guided Motion and Light‐Triggered Catalysis

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Magnetically responsive wax microparticles stabilized by hematite cubes through the Pickering emulsification strategy are developed, showing controlled size, motion, and light‐activated catalytic activity. Annealing under a magnetic field enhances their mobility and steering.

Analysis of instantaneous frequency, instantaneous amplitude and phase angle of ferroresonance in electrical power networks [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Ferroresonance is a nonlinear phenomenon that damages the undesired, destructive system for energy transmission lines. The formation and development of this overvoltage ferroresonance phenomenon is an important research topic as a mysterious event in ...

Aqueous Two‐Phase Bioinks for Discrete Packing and Compartmentalization of 3D Bioprinted Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Aqueous two‐phase systems (ATPS) enable the formation of biomimetic interfaces crucial for tissue engineering. However, clinical translation remains limited by the challenge of precisely controlling cellular compartmentalization. Here, we developed ATPS biomaterial inks for 3D bioprinting allowing tuneable droplet formation via NaCl modulation.

INSTANTANEOUS FREQUENCY ESTIMATION FOR MULTI- COMPONENT SIGNALS USING A LEAST SQUARES EVOLUTIONARY SPECTRUM

open access: yesElectrica, 2006
We present a method for estimating the instantaneous frequency of the multi-component signals. This method involves the calculation of a time-frequency energy density of the signal, then obtaining an instantaneous frequency estimation from this joint ...

Research on tacholess fast-varying instantaneous rotating frequency estimation model based on nonlinear short-time Fourier transform combination with adaptive chirp mode decomposition and its application

open access: yesJournal of Low Frequency Noise, Vibration and Active Control
Instantaneous rotating frequency extraction is one of the key technologies for mechanical health monitoring and fault diagnosis. As the instantaneous rotating frequency presents fast-varying property under high-speed fluctuation, this paper uses a coarse-

Genipin‐Crosslinked, Silane‐Anchored 3D Tumor–Stroma Microtissues for High‐Content On‐Chip Drug Testing

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
We describe a microfluidic tumor‐stroma co‐culture model, engineered to resist collagen‐hydrogel contraction driven by fibroblast activity. Surface silanization with APTES covalently anchors the matrix to the chip, while Genipin crosslinking progressively increases stiffness and elasticity without harming cells. This supports >10 days of co‐culture and

Single camera three component planar velocity measurements using two-frequency planar Doppler velocimetry (2ν-PDV) (2012) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Two-frequency planar Doppler velocimetry (2ν-PDV) is used in conjunction with imaging fibre bundles to make time-averaged three component velocity measurements using a single CCD camera and iodine cell. In this scheme the flow is sequentially illuminated
