Frequency-Locked Loop Based Estimation of Single-Phase Grid Voltage Parameters [PDF]
Estimation of amplitude, instantaneous phase, and frequency of a single-phase grid voltage signal are studied in this letter. The proposed approach uses a novel circular limit cycle oscillator (CLO) coupled with a frequency-locked loop.

A Robust Adaptive One‐Sample‐Ahead Preview Super‐Twisting Sliding Mode Controller
Block Diagram of the Robust Adaptive One‐Sample‐Ahead Preview Super‐Twisting Sliding Mode Controller. ABSTRACT This article introduces a discrete‐time robust adaptive one‐sample‐ahead preview super‐twisting sliding mode controller. A stability analysis of the controller by Lyapunov criteria is developed to demonstrate its robustness in handling both ...

Instantaneous Frequency Estimation Using Stochastic Calculus and Bootstrapping
Stochastic calculus methods are used to estimate the instantaneous frequency of a signal. The frequency is modeled as a polynomial in time. It is assumed that the phase has a Brownian-motion component. Using stochastic calculus, one is able to develop a

Evaluating Energy Absorption Performance of Filled Lattice Structures
Maximum stress must be considered to robustly evaluate energy absorber designs. This approach was applied to compare all types of absorbers in a single Ashby diagram and determine the utility of filling lattice voids with a second material. High‐performance fillers can improve the performance of lattices that are limited by buckling or catastrophic ...

Instantaneous Frequency Estimation Based on Modified Kalman Filter for Cone-Shaped Target
The instantaneous frequency (IF) is a vital parameter for the analysis of non-stationary multicomponent signals, and plays an important role in space cone-shaped target recognition.

The estimation of geoacoustic properties from broadband acoustic data, focusing on instantaneous frequency techniques [PDF]
The compressional wave velocity and attenuation of marine sediments are fundamental to marine science. In order to obtain reliable estimates of these parameters it is necessary to examine in situ acoustic data, which is generally broadband.

This paper presents a novel approach to reducing oxide layers on metal powders using low‐temperature hydrogen dielectric barrier discharge plasmas at atmospheric pressure. Unlike conventional hydrogen‐plasma reductions, the powders do not contact the plasma directly.

Instantaneous frequency estimation of non-stationary signal [PDF]
In signal processing, the estimation of instantaneous frequency is a kind of very important issue for non-stationary multi-component signal. Firstly, this paper adopts EMD decomposition to decompose non-stationary multi-component signal and convert into a series of single component signal.

Surface Tension Measurement of Ti‐6Al‐4V by Falling Droplet Method in Oxygen‐Free Atmosphere
In this article, the temperature‐dependent surface tension of free falling, oscillating Ti‐6Al‐4V droplets is investigated in both argon and monosilane doped, oxygen‐free atmosphere. Droplet temperature and oscillation are captured with one single high‐speed camera, and the surface tension is calculated with Rayleigh's formula.
