Identification of Instars of Hypera postica Using Chaetotaxy [PDF]
A new method using chaetotaxy for identification of instars of Hypera postica (Gyllenhal) is presented and compared with earlier methods. I recommend a combined method using separation of small (first and second instars) and large (third and fourth instars) followed by identification of particular instars by using chaetotaxy.

Cumulative effect of HaNPV against Helicoverpa armigera infesting Chickpea
The instar-wise larval mortality in H. armigera due to HaNPV @ 0.500 ml/l showed a consistent decrease in all the five instars and cent per cent larval mortality was recorded in the first instar larvae.
