Fluctuations and differential contraction during regeneration of Hydra vulgaris tissue toroids
We studied regenerating bilayered tissue toroids dissected from Hydra vulgaris polyps and relate our macroscopic observations to the dynamics of force-generating mesoscopic cytoskeletal structures.

The Gannon Storm's Impact on Electric and Magnetic Fields in Italy: A Regional Perspective
Abstract The intense May 2024 geomagnetic storm provided an opportunity to conduct the first analysis of geoelectric hazards in Italy. Data from three geomagnetic observatories and a magnetotelluric station were analyzed to examine the spatiotemporal evolution of storm‐induced variations.

The Interconnected Magmatic Plumbing System of the Natron Rift
Understanding the magmatic plumbing system of rift volcanoes is essential when examining the interplay between magmatic and tectonic forces. Recent seismicity, volcanic activity, magma emplacement, and volatile release make the Natron basin the ideal ...

Abstract Badlands are sensitive components of the Earth's surface where weathering, erosion and transport processes can be observed on human timescales. Within the Draix‐Bléone Critical Zone Observatory (CZO) in SE France, both water and sediment fluxes and their climatic drivers have been recorded for >35 yrs, making it an ideal natural laboratory to ...

Measurement of calcium isotopes (δ44Ca) using a multicollector TIMS technique [PDF]
We propose a new“multicollector technique” for the thermal ionization mass spectrometer (TIMS) measurement of calcium (Ca) isotope ratios improving average internal statistical uncertainty of the 44Ca/40Ca measurements by a factor of 2–4 and average ...

Antarctic Intermediate Water Variability in the South Atlantic Over the Last 600,000 years
Abstract Despite its importance as a key component of the Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation, the long‐term variability of Antarctic Intermediate Water (AAIW) remains poorly constrained due to the lack of adequate proxy records. To address this, we present the longest reconstruction of AAIW variability in the South Atlantic using authigenic ...
