Real‐Time In Vivo Monitoring of Anastomotic Intestinal Ischemia Using Implantable Resorbable Organic Sensors

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Resorbable impedance sensors are successfully implanted into porcine small intestinal anastomoses. Impedance was recorded for 2 hours prior, and 2 hours following ischemia induction, and a significant drop in tissue impedance was observed. Abstract Anastomotic failure remains one of the most severe complications in gastrointestinal surgery.

RECIPROCITY IN THE ECONOMY OF THE AGE OF SILICON ECONOMY SYSTEMS TO EARLY EXPERIENCES CURRENT SOLIDARITY ECONOMY

open access: yesVisión de Futuro, 2012
Reciprocity is an integrating principle of supportive economy activities. In non-capitalist societies, it has been realized through the participation of certain institutional arrangements that favored the stability of exchange relations. Progress towards

Evolving International Supervisory Architexture: Design, Rationale and Policy Reforms [PDF]

open access: yes
The evolving transnational supervisory arrangements do not fully address the existing asymmetries in institutional arrangements. Seeking to broad base the unrepresentative arrangements to include the developing countries in the standard setting process ...

Protease‐Activated Plasmonic Nanosensors for Predictive Ultrasound‐Guided Photoacoustic Imaging of Tumor Responses to Adoptive T Cell Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Protease‐activated plasmonic nanosensors are demonstrated to noninvasively monitor antitumor T cell activity in tumors with anatomical information upon adoptive T cell transfer via ultrasound‐guided photoacoustic imaging. These nanosensors are actuated by granzyme B, a protease secreted by activated cytotoxic T cells during tumor cell killing, which ...

NuSAP Safeguards Centriole Integrity to Mediate CEP57‐CEP152 Torus Recruitment for Proper Engagement

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study reveals a novel role for the microtubule stabilizer NuSAP at centrioles. NuSAP depletion destabilizes the centriole's tubulin structure, causing premature disengagement, PCM defects, and mis‐localization of the CEP57‐CEP63‐CEP152 complex. By reinforcing centriole architecture, NuSAP enables early CEP57 loading and initiates a newly proposed ...

3D Bioprinted Fat‐Myocardium Model Unravels the Role of Adipocyte Hypertrophy in Atrial Dysfunction

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A human‐derived 3D bioprinted fat–myocardium model is developed to investigate how adipocyte hypertrophy drives atrial dysfunction in obesity. Palmitate‐induced adipocyte hypertrophy promotes adipose dysfunction that impairs atrial cardiomyocyte metabolism and electrophysiology through both paracrine and direct interactions. This platform recapitulates
