Behavior control of an automatic inspection robot for insulators
This paper presents an automatic inspection robot for insulators installed on 500kV power transmission lines. In order to detect the poor insulators automatically, the robot's behaviors are analyzed, and a behavior control model based on Finite State

An all‐in‐one analog AI accelerator is presented, enabling on‐chip training, weight retention, and long‐term inference acceleration. It leverages a BEOL‐integrated CMO/HfOx ReRAM array with low‐voltage operation (<1.5 V), multi‐bit capability over 32 states, low programming noise (10 nS), and near‐ideal weight transfer.

Long-term Accelerated Multistress Aging of Composite Outdoor Polymeric Insulators
Polymeric outdoor insulators are being increasingly used for electrical power transmission and distribution in the recent years. One of the current topics of interest for the power transmission community is the aging of such outdoor polymeric insulators.

Edible electronics needs integrated logic circuits for computation and control. This work presents a potentially edible printed chitosan‐gated transistor with a design optimized for integration in circuits. Its implementation in integrated logic gates and circuits operating at low voltage (0.7 V) is demonstrated, as well as the compatibility with an ...

Laser‐Induced Graphene from Waste Almond Shells
Almond shells, an abundant agricultural by‐product, are repurposed to create a fully bioderived almond shell/chitosan composite (ASC) degradable in soil. ASC is converted into laser‐induced graphene (LIG) by laser scribing and proposed as a substrate for transient electronics.

Aggregating Deep Convolutional Feature Maps for Insulator Detection in Infrared Images
Insulator detection using an infrared image is challenged by variance of temperature, orientations, and a cluttered background. A robust and discriminative representation of insulators in electric power systems is needed.

A new model for surface potential decay of corona-charged polymers [PDF]
Surface potential measurement provides a useful tool to gauge the electrical properties of materials. It has been observed that the potential of a sample with an initial high surface potential decays faster than that with an initial lower surface ...

Shellac, a centuries‐old natural resin, is reimagined as a green material for flexible electronics. When combined with silver nanowires, shellac films deliver transparency, conductivity, and stability against humidity. These results position shellac as a sustainable alternative to synthetic polymers for transparent conductors in next‐generation ...
