Near-real-time GPS integer ambiguity resolution

IEEE Conference on Decision and Control and European Control Conference, 2011
Real-time decimeter accuracy GPS positioning can be achieved using carrier phase measurements. This requires fast and reliable on-the-fly integer ambiguity resolution. However, in GPS challenged areas (e.g. Urban canyons, tunnels, thick canopy etc.) the GPS receiver may not be able to track a sufficient number of satellites to resolve the integer ...

Integer ambiguity resolution in GPS using particle filtering

Proceedings of the 2001 American Control Conference. (Cat. No.01CH37148), 2001
Using carrier phase measurements enables the differential GPS to reach centimeter level accuracy. A phase lock loop cannot measure the full cycle part of the carrier phase. This unmeasured part is called integer ambiguity that requires to be resolved through other means. In this paper we present a new integer ambiguity resolution method. In this method

Improving detection of incorrect GPS carrier phase integer ambiguity solutions with the Ambiguity Filter

2016 International Conference on Localization and GNSS (ICL-GNSS), 2016
The Global Positioning System (GPS) can be used to estimate the attitude of a vehicle. To do this, multiple receivers should be used with the antennas in known fixed positions in the vehicle body frame. Since the estimation of the attitude angles needs high precision, the carrier phase measurements (with millimeter precision) are used in combination ...

A General Criterion of Integer Ambiguity Search

Journal of Global Positioning Systems, 2002
A general criterion for integer ambiguity searching is derived in this paper. The criterion takes into account not only the residuals caused by ambiguity parameter changing, but also the residuals caused by coordinates changing through ambiguity fixing. The search can be carried out in a coordinate domain, in an ambiguity domain or in both domains. The

A improved algorithm of integer ambiguity search space

2017 Chinese Automation Congress (CAC), 2017
The ambiguity search space has a great effect on integer ambiguity searching efficiency and confirmation. In the case of high ambiguity dimension, the search space is determined when the ambiguity dimension is large. The conventional method is prone to the ambiguity fixed failure.

Integer Ambiguity Algebra

2018
In this section we develop integer ambiguity algebra, a mathematical approach to handle integer ambiguities between different GNSS frequencies and introduce what we call the ambiguity-free linear combination. We first show the vector form of the wide-lane ambiguity for multi-frequency GNSS and then develop integer ambiguity algebra and show in detail ...

Integer Ambiguity Estimation with the Lambda Method

1996
High precision relative GPS positioning is based on the very precise carrier phase measurements. In order to achieve high precision results within a short observation time span, the integer nature of the GPS double difference ambiguities has to be exploited.

Integer ambiguity resolution in GPS for spinning spacecrafts

IEEE Transactions on Aerospace and Electronic Systems, 1999
A procedure to compute the integer ambiguity problem when a GPS receiver is used in a multiple antenna configuration attached to a rotating spacecraft is presented. The method is applied to a simulation of an experimental satellite which uses the GPS receiver for attitude determination.

The GNSS integer ambiguities: estimation and validation

2005
The principle of positioning with the Global Positioning System (GPS) is based on determining the distance of at least four GPS satellites to a receiver. For that purpose the so-called code measurements can be used, so that the position of the receiver can be determined up to several meters. In order to allow for navigation with centimeter accuracy, it

Resolution of Integer Ambiguity in GPS Attitude Determination

2011 First International Conference on Instrumentation, Measurement, Computer, Communication and Control, 2011
In order to resolve the carrier phase ambiguity in attitude determination, a new approach is proposed and discussed. A method for static baseline vector estimation is derivate based on the epoch-difference carrier phase and a receiver clock bias model. By using the estimated baseline vector, a float solution of ambiguity is computed.
