Consensus Formation and Change are Enhanced by Neutrality
Neutral agents are shown to enhance both the formation and overturning of consensus in collective decision‐making. A general mathematical model and experiments with locusts and humans reveal that neutrality enables robust consensus via simple interactions and accelerates consensus change by reducing effective population size.

MULTI-BASELINE INSAR ELEVATION INVERSION METHOD BASED ON THREE-DIMENSIONAL RECONSTRUCTION MODEL [PDF]
The existing multi-baseline methods have some problems of low accuracy and intensive calculation. In order to solve the problems, a new multi-baseline InSAR elevation inversion method based on a rigorous geometric model instead of a simplified model is ...

Helix Alignment, Chevrons, and Edge Dislocations in Twist‐Bend Ferroelectric Nematics
The recently discovered twist‐bend ferroelectric nematic (NTBF) is the new member of the multiferroic family, representing a fluid with an oblique helicoidal (heliconical) periodic structure of spontaneous electric polarization. The work presents a thorough exploration of the material properties of this phase, how the periodic modulation of ...

A novel variable neighborhood search approach for cell clustering for spatial transcriptomics
This paper introduces a new approach to cell clustering using the Variable Neighborhood Search (VNS) metaheuristic. The purpose of this method is to cluster cells based on both gene expression and spatial coordinates.

Mixed Powers of Generating Functions [PDF]
Given an integer $m \geq 1$, let $\| \cdot \|$ be a norm in $\mathbb{R}^{m+1}$ and let $\mathbb{S}_+^m$ denote the set of points $\mathbf{d}=(d_0,\ldots,d_m)$ in $\mathbb{R}^{m+1}$ with nonnegative coordinates and such that $\| \mathbf{d} \|=1$. Consider

Photon‐Sphere Modes in Curved Optical Microcavities: A Black‐Hole Analogue Laser
An optical analogue of a Schwarzschild black hole is realized using curved microcavities that preserve light‐like geodesics. A new family of laser modes confined around the photon sphere is identified alongside conventional whispering‐gallery modes. Analytical theory, numerical simulations, and experiments reveal curvature‐induced confinement, enabling
