Constrained infinite group relaxations of MIPs [PDF]

open access: yes
Recently minimal and extreme inequalities for continuous group relaxations of general mixed integer sets have been characterized. In this paper, we consider a stronger relaxation of general mixed integer sets by allowing constraints, such as bounds, on ...

Operations Research‐Based Formalisation and Design of Sustainable Reverse Logistics for E‐Waste Supply Chains

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study demonstrates how a profitable, lean, and environmentally responsible e‐waste reverse logistics system can be designed using integrated Operations Research (OR) techniques. Addressing the growing urgency of responsible consumption (UN SDG 12) and the projected rise of the e‐waste sector to USD 137.60 billion by 2029, the research ...

Artificial Intelligence–Driven and Digital Practices for Circular Business and Finance: Insights for Advancing Hubs for Circularity

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The emerging concept of Hubs for Circularity (H4Cs) presents an opportunity to create collaborative, self‐sustaining regional industrial ecosystems that drive circular economy transitions at scale. However, the operationalisation of H4Cs faces financial, organisational and data‐driven challenges.

Design, implementation and testing of an integrated branch and bound algorithm for piecewise linear and discrete programming problems within an LP framework

open access: yes, 1992
A number of discrete variable representations are well accepted and find regular use within LP systems. These are Binary variables, General Integer variables, Variable Upper Bounds or Semi Continuous variables, Special Ordered Sets of type One and type ...

Can Credit Rating Changes Affect Corporate Carbon Emissions? Some Evidence From the S&P 500

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Using panel data on US S&P 500 firms from 2012 to 2024, this study examines how credit rating changes affect corporate carbon performance. Drawing on the resource‐based view and prospect theory, we show that credit rating downgrades lead to a statistically and economically significant deterioration in emission reduction scores.
