Consensus Formation and Change are Enhanced by Neutrality

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Neutral agents are shown to enhance both the formation and overturning of consensus in collective decision‐making. A general mathematical model and experiments with locusts and humans reveal that neutrality enables robust consensus via simple interactions and accelerates consensus change by reducing effective population size.

Branch and Bound Algorithm for a Discrete Multilevel Linear Fractional Programming Problem

open access: yesOperations Research and Decisions, 2018
An algorithm is proposed to find an integer solution for bilevel linear fractional programming problem with discrete variables. The method develops a cut that removes the integer solutions which are not bilevel feasible.

Helix Alignment, Chevrons, and Edge Dislocations in Twist‐Bend Ferroelectric Nematics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The recently discovered twist‐bend ferroelectric nematic (NTBF) is the new member of the multiferroic family, representing a fluid with an oblique helicoidal (heliconical) periodic structure of spontaneous electric polarization. The work presents a thorough exploration of the material properties of this phase, how the periodic modulation of ...

De Novo Multi‐Mechanism Antimicrobial Peptide Design via Multimodal Deep Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Current AI‐driven peptide discovery often overlooks complex structural data. This study presents M3‐CAD, a generative pipeline that leverages 3D voxel coloring and a massive database of over 12 000 peptides to capture nuanced physicochemical contexts.

Economical heuristics for fully interval integer multi-objective fuzzy and non-fuzzy transportation problems [PDF]

open access: yesYugoslav Journal of Operations Research
The single-objective fuzzy or non-fuzzy transportation problem (TP) is not capable of dealing with real-life decision-making problems due to our current competitive market state.

Causal Prediction of TP53 Variant Pathogenicity Using a Perturbation‐Informed Protein Language Model

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A TP53‐specific predictor, CaVepP53, is developed by fine‐tuning ESMC on experimentally validated variants, quantifying pathogenicity via Euclidean distances. It outperforms general‐purpose models and extends to five cancer genes, enabling interpretable variant classification for precision medicine.

Construction of Nodal Bubbling Solutions for the Weighted Sinh-Poisson Equation

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2013
We consider the weighted sinh-Poisson equation in , on , where is a small parameter, , and is a unit ball in . By a constructive way, we prove that for any positive integer , there exists a nodal bubbling solution which concentrates at the origin ...

A Perspective on Interactive Theorem Provers in Physics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Into an interactive theorem provers (ITPs), one can write mathematical definitions, theorems and proofs, and the correctness of those results is automatically checked. This perspective goes over the best usage of ITPs within physics and motivates the open‐source community run project PhysLean, the aim of which is to be a library for digitalized physics

Photon‐Sphere Modes in Curved Optical Microcavities: A Black‐Hole Analogue Laser

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An optical analogue of a Schwarzschild black hole is realized using curved microcavities that preserve light‐like geodesics. A new family of laser modes confined around the photon sphere is identified alongside conventional whispering‐gallery modes. Analytical theory, numerical simulations, and experiments reveal curvature‐induced confinement, enabling
