Complex hypersingular integrals and integral equations in plane elasticity

Acta Mechanica, 1994
Complex hypersingular (finite-part) integrals and integral equations are considered in the functional class of Muskhelishvili. The appropriate definition is given. Three regularization (equivalence) formulae follow from this definition. They reduce hypersingular integrals to singular ones and allow to derive hypersingular analogues for Sokhotsky ...

Integral Equation Methods in Elasticity

Nature, 1963
A NEW method for solving two-dimensional elasticity problems has recently been suggested by N. Louat1. It is perhaps worth pointing out that his method falls within the scope of a very general approach to elasticity, which can be briefly described as follows.

Analytical evaluation of elastic Coulomb integrals

Journal of Mathematical Physics, 1992
Indefinite integrals over the product of two Coulomb wave functions and a factor r−λ−1, λ=1,2,3,..., have been evaluated analytically. The results for these multipole integrals could be expressed again in terms of Coulomb wave functions, except for the electric quadrupole (λ=2) integral at zero angular momentum in both the incident and final channels.

A CONTOUR INTEGRAL FORMULATION OF PLANE ELASTICITY

The Quarterly Journal of Mechanics and Applied Mathematics, 1985
A contour-integral relation is derived for plane linear elastostatics. This relation allows the development of a new boundary-integral formulation that has several advantages. Foremost of the advantages is the exclusive use of fields that are everywhere bounded.

On conservation integrals in micropolar elasticity

Philosophical Magazine, 2003
Two conservation laws of nonlinear micropolar elasticity (Jk = 0 and Lk = 0) are derived within the framework of the Noether theorem on invariant variational principles, thereby extending the earlier authors' results from the couple stress elasticity. Two non-conserved M-type integrals of linear micropolar elasticity are then derived and their values ...

Finite Element Nonlocal Integral Elasticity Approach

2021
In the current chapter, a finite element theory has been developed based on the nonlocal integral elasticity using Hamilton’s principle. Formulations have been derived using Euler-Bernoulli beam theory and classical plate theory in order to study the bending, buckling and vibration behavior of nanostructures.
