Hands‐on protocol for preparing water‐soluble fractions from agri‐food samples for NMR‐based metabolomics analysis

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This research protocol outlines a workflow for nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR)‐based metabolomics in the agri‐food sector. Using two case studies—strawberry leaves (solid matrix) and wine (liquid matrix)—it details the procedures for sample preparation, data acquisition, and processing.

Pricing American options with Mellin transforms [PDF]

open access: yes
Mellin transforms in option pricing theory were introduced by Panini and Srivastav (2004). In this contribution, we generalize their results to European power options.

Antibiofilm activity of a chionodracine‐derived peptide by NMR‐based metabolomics of cell‐free supernatant of Acinetobacter baumannii clinical strains

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
KHS‐Cnd peptide is able to impair biofilm formation and disaggregate mature biofilms in Acinetobacter baumannii clinical isolates. Differences in extracellular metabolites reflect changes in biofilm metabolism due to KHS‐Cnd treatment. Among the differentially represented extracellular metabolites upon KHS‐Cnd treatment, the significantly altered ...

Cutting-Edge Spectral Solutions for Differential and Integral Equations Utilizing Legendre’s Derivatives [PDF]

open access: yesIranian Journal of Numerical Analysis and Optimization
This research introduces a spectral numerical method for solving some types of integral equations, which is the pseudo-Galerkin spectral method. The presented method depends on Legendre’s first derivative polynomials as basis functions.

Khalouta transform and applications to Caputo-fractional differential equations

open access: yesFrontiers in Applied Mathematics and Statistics
The paper aims to utilize an integral transform, specifically the Khalouta transform, an abstraction of various integral transforms, to address fractional differential equations using both Riemann-Liouville and Caputo fractional derivative.

Nuclear pore links Fob1‐dependent rDNA damage relocation to lifespan control

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Damaged rDNA accumulates at a specific perinuclear interface that couples nucleolar escape with nuclear envelope association. Nuclear pores at this site help inhibit Fob1‐induced rDNA instability. This spatial organization of damage handling supports a functional link between nuclear architecture, rDNA stability, and replicative lifespan in yeast.

APPLICATION OF INTEGRAL TRANSFORMS TO SOLVING LINEAR EQUATIONS

open access: yesDemonstratio Mathematica, 1985
The paper includes an effective complex-analytical procedure for obtaining solutions of nth order linear differential equation \(\sum^{n}_{k=0}a_{k+1}(t)x^{(k)}(t)=z(t)\) with given \(x^{(k)}(0)\), \(k=0,1,...,n-1\). Functions \(a_{k+1}(t)\), \(t\geq 0\), \(k=0,1,...,n\), are piecewise continuously differentiable up to order n, while z(t) is for \(t ...
