An inverse problem for a quasilinear parabolic equation with nonlocal boundary and overdetermination conditions [PDF]
In this paper the inverse problem of finding the time-dependent coefficient of heat capacity together with the solution of heat equation with nonlocal boundary conditions is considered.

Inverse Coefficient Problem of the Parabolic Equation with Periodic Boundary and Integral Overdetermination Conditions [PDF]
This paper investigates the inverse problem of finding a time-dependent diffusion coefficient in a parabolic equation with the periodic boundary and integral overdetermination conditions. Under some assumption on the data, the existence, uniqueness, and continuous dependence on the data of the solution are shown by using the generalized Fourier method.

Ferroelectric Phase Transitions from First Principles [PDF]
An effective Hamiltonian for the ferroelectric transition in $PbTiO_3$ is constructed from first-principles density-functional-theory total-energy and linear-response calculations through the use of a localized, symmetrized basis set of ``lattice Wannier

Extended Iterative Scheme for QCD: Three-point Vertices
In the framework of a generalized iterative scheme introduced previously to account for the non-analytic coupling dependence associated with the renormalization-group invariant mass scale Lambda, we establish the self-consistency equations of the ...

Anomaly of linearization and auxiliary integrals [PDF]
In this note we discuss some formal properties of universal linearization operator, relate this to brackets of non-linear differential operators and discuss application to the calculus of auxiliary integrals, used in compatibility reductions of ...

In this paper, we investigate the inverse problem of the determining the right-hand side of a nonlinear fractional parabolic equation with integral overdetermination condition. For the solvability of the direct problem we use the energy inequality method also known as the methode of functional analysis or the method of a priori estimates, this method ...

The classical overdetermined Serrin problem
In this survey we consider the classical overdetermined problem which was studied by Serrin in 1971. The original proof relies on Alexandrov's moving plane method, maximum principles, and a refinement of Hopf's boundary point Lemma.

Direct and Inverse Problems for the Heat Equation with a Dynamic type Boundary Condition [PDF]
This paper considers the initial-boundary value problem for the heat equation with a dynamic type boundary condition. Under some regularity, consistency and orthogonality conditions, the existence, uniqueness and continuous dependence upon the data of ...
