Putting the Femme in Feminist: Trans Feminism and the ‘Male Lesbian’ in the American Second Wave

open access: yesGender &History, Volume 38, Issue 2, Page 680-692, July 2026.
ABSTRACT A slur, a joke or a post‐structuralist case of mistaken identity. To the extent that the male lesbian has been discussed, she has figured dismissively. Yet throughout the period historicised as American feminism's second wave, potentially thousands of trans femmes organised under this identity. Despite being entirely overlooked in scholarship,

RELATIONAL AMBIVALENCE AND THE CONSTRUCTION OF MASCULINITY: RE‐READING FREUD'S RAT MAN

open access: yesGerman Life and Letters, Volume 79, Issue 3, Page 337-350, July 2026.
ABSTRACT This article offers a close reading of Freud's 1909 case study ‘Bemerkungen über einen Fall von Zwangsneurose’ (‘Rat Man’). I build on Andrew Webber's observation that both psychoanalytic case studies and the literary genre of the novella use the exceptional case to confirm the norm.

INVERSE PROBLEM WITH INTEGRAL IN TIME OVERDETERMINATION AND NONLOCAL BOUNDARY CONDITIONS FOR HYPERBOLIC EQUATION

open access: yesVestnik of Samara University. Natural Science Series, 2016
In this article, we consider a question of sovability of an inverse problem for a linear hyprbolic equation. Properties of the solution of an associated nonlocal initial-boundary problem with displacement in boundary conditions are used to develop an existence result for the identification of the unknown source.

Simultaneous Generation of Topographic Models and Manning Roughness Coefficient Maps From Tri‐Stereoscopic Satellite Images: Application to the Huarmey River, Peru

open access: yesThe Photogrammetric Record, Volume 41, Issue 195, July‐September 2026.
Tri‐stereoscopic PeruSat‐1 imagery enables the simultaneous generation of 0.70 m‐resolution topography and spatially distributed Manning roughness maps, achieving 0.434 m vertical accuracy. Integrated into HEC‐RAS, these products provide consistent, high‐resolution inputs that improve hydraulic modelling and flood risk assessment in data‐scarce river ...

Absent Grief, Manic Undoing, and the Transgenerational Transmission of Unclaimed Experience: A Cryptic Reading of Murakami's Tony Takitani

open access: yesInternational Journal of Applied Psychoanalytic Studies, Volume 23, Issue 2, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Trauma and loss constitute recurring themes in both Murakami's fictional and non‐fictional writing. In the short story Tony Takitani, Murakami portrays a father and son confronting trauma and loss in the aftermath of the Second World War and the nuclear devastation of Japan.

Existence of Solutions to the Nonstationary Stokes System with a Nonlinear Overdetermination Condition

open access: yesMathematics
In this paper, we study an inverse problem for the nonstationary Stokes system in a bounded domain Ω with a nonlinear integral overdetermination condition, describing the kinetic energy E(t) of the fluid.

Source inverse problem for fractional kinetic equation

open access: yesМатематичні Студії
We study the Cauchy problem for fractional kinetic equation in spaces with values in the entire scale of spaces of Bessel potentials, prove its unique, classical in time, solvability, obtaining an analogue of the maximum regularity of the solution ...

‘Gen Z Language? Y'all Mean AAVE’: The Appropriation of African American Vernacular English as ‘TikTok Language’

open access: yesJournal of Sociolinguistics, Volume 30, Issue 3, Page 255-267, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Sociolinguistic research has long documented the appropriation of African American Vernacular English (AAVE) across media including film, music and advertising. In this article, we add to this body of work by exploring the digital recontextualisation of a subset of AAVE features as ‘TikTok/internet language’.

Determination of a time-dependent heat source under not strengthened regular boundary and integral overdetermination conditions

open access: yesFilomat, 2018
We investigate an inverse problem of finding a time-dependent heat source in a parabolic equation with nonlocal boundary and integral overdetermination conditions. The boundary conditions of this problem are regular but not strengthened regular. The principal difference of this problem is: the system of eigenfunctions is not complete.
