A Licence to Kill: Necroeconomic Suffocation by Stealth and the Fight for Life

open access: yesAntipode, Volume 58, Issue 1, January 2026.
Abstract Three decades of austerity in the UK have seen the deterioration of the elemental infrastructures, those that provided a basic level of security for the population. In this article, we analyse the case of Awaab Ishak, who died (age two) when he suffocated from mould in his home in Rochdale, North‐West England.

Cancellation of linearised axion-dilaton self interaction divergence in strings

open access: yes, 1999
The force densities exerted on a localised material system by linearised interaction with fields of axionic and dilatonic type are shown to be describable very generally by relatively simple expressions that are well behaved for fields of purely external

On the Manifold Meanings of Aesthetic Experience: Lonergan and Chrétien on Art

open access: yesThe Heythrop Journal, Volume 67, Issue 1, Page 33-52, January 2026.
Abstract I argue that Jean‐Louis Chrétien’s account of beauty and Bernard Lonergan’s account of art and aesthetic experience complement one another and, when taken together, offer an illuminating philosophical account of the ontological, ethical, intellectual, and transcendent aspects of art and aesthetic experience.

О некоторых классах линейных обратных задач для параболических систем уравнений [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Рассмотрены вопросы корректности линейных обратных задач для параболических уравнений и систем. По интегральным условиям переопределения вместе с решением восстанавливается правая часть системы.

An inverse coefficient problem for a quasilinear parabolic equation with periodic boundary and integral overdetermination condition

open access: yesMathematical Methods in the Applied Sciences, 2014
In this paper, the inverse problem of finding the time‐dependent coefficient of heat capacity together with the solution periodic boundary and integral overdetermination conditions is considered. Under some natural regularity and consistency conditions on the input data, the existence, uniqueness, and continuous dependence upon the data of the solution

Connecting Cell Structure and Current‐Dependent Environment Changes in CO2 Electrolysis to GDE Operation Regimes and Multi‐Cell Interaction

open access: yesElectrochemical Science Advances, Volume 5, Issue 6, December 2025.
ABSTRACT Consecutive development of materials, components, and ultimately, devices does not appear to be a promising strategy in CO2 electroreduction because maintaining comparability and transferring results between idealized and application‐oriented systems proves challenging.

Space- and Time-Dependent Source Identification Problem with Integral Overdetermination Condition

open access: yes
This paper is devoted to the study of the inverse problem of determining the right-hand side of the subdiffusion equation with the Caputo derivative with respect to time. In our case, the inverse problem consists in restoring the coefficient of the right-hand side, which depends on both the time and the spatial variable, when measured in integral form.

Spinoza on Teleology, Action, and Explanatory Overdetermination

open access: yesPacific Philosophical Quarterly, Volume 106, Issue 4, Page 218-230, December 2025.
ABSTRACT I argue that Spinoza rejects teleological explanations wholesale. This is because of three of his distinctive theses: his naturalism, according to which all things are governed by the same laws; his account of action, according to which we are active to the extent that we have adequate ideas; and his account of adequate causation, according to

Source inverse problem for fractional kinetic equation

open access: yesМатематичні Студії
We study the Cauchy problem for fractional kinetic equation in spaces with values in the entire scale of spaces of Bessel potentials, prove its unique, classical in time, solvability, obtaining an analogue of the maximum regularity of the solution ...
