Integral points for multi-norm tori [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the London Mathematical Society, 2012
We construct a finite subgroup of Brauer-Manin obstruction for detecting the existence of integral points on integral models of principle homogeneous spaces of multi-norm tori. Several explicit examples are provided.

Counting Integral Points on Universal Torsors [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Mathematics Research Notices, 2009
Manin's conjecture for the asymptotic behavior of the number of rational points of bounded height on del Pezzo surfaces can be approached through universal torsors. We prove several auxiliary results for the estimation of the number of integral points in certain regions on universal torsors. As an application, we prove Manin's conjecture for a singular

An efficient approach for calculating a definite integral with about a dozen of sampling points [PDF]

open access: yesVojnotehnički Glasnik, 2022
Introduction/purpose: An approximate approach to definite integral calculation has been an attractive problem continuously since the creation of integration due to practical needs in scientific and engineering areas.

The positive integral points on the elliptic curve 𝒚𝟐=𝟕𝒑𝒙(𝒙𝟐+𝟖) [PDF]

open access: yesE3S Web of Conferences, 2020
The integral point of elliptic curve is a very important problem in both elementary number theory and analytic number theory. In recent years, scholars have paid great attention to solving the problem of positive integer points on elliptic curve 𝑦2 = 𝑘 ...

Integral points on hyperelliptic curves [PDF]

open access: yesAlgebra & Number Theory, 2008
We give a completely explicit upper bound for integral points on (standard) affine models of hyperelliptic curves, provided we know at least one rational point and a Mordell-Weil basis of the Jacobian. We also explain a powerful refinement of the Mordell--Weil sieve which, combined with the upper bound, is capable of determining all the integral points.

Fixed Points and Stability for Integral-Type Multivalued Contractive Mappings

open access: yesJournal of Function Spaces, 2021
The existence and iterative approximations of fixed points concerning two classes of integral-type multivalued contractive mappings in complete metric spaces are proved, and the stability of fixed point sets relative to these multivalued contractive ...

On integral points on surfaces [PDF]

open access: yesAnnals of Mathematics, 2004
We study integral points on affine surfaces by means of a new method, relying on the Subspace Theorem. Under suitable assumptions on the divisor at infinity, we prove that the integral points are contained in a curve. As a corollary, we prove that there are only finitely many quadratic integral points on an affine curve with five points at infinity.

Continuity, compactness, fixed points, and integral equations

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Qualitative Theory of Differential Equations, 2002
An integral equation, $x(t)=a(t)-\int^t_{-\infty} D(t,s)g(x(s))ds$ with $a(t)$ bounded, is studied by means of a Liapunov functional. There results an a priori bound on solutions.
