A solution to nonlinear Fredholm integral equations in the context of w-distances

open access: yesAdvances in Difference Equations, 2021
In this paper we propose a solution to the nonlinear Fredholm integral equations in the context of w-distance. For this purpose, we also provide a fixed point result in the same setting. In addition, we provide best proximity point results.

Integral points on circles [PDF]

open access: yesHardy-Ramanujan Journal, 2019
Sixty years ago the first named author gave an example \cite{sch} of a circle passing through an arbitrary number of integral points. Now we shall prove: {\it The number $N$ of integral points on the circle $(x-a)^2+(y-b)^2=r^2$ with radius $r=\frac{1}{n}\sqrt{m}$, where $m,n\in\mathbb Z$, $m,n>0$, $\gcd(m,n^2)$ squarefree and $a,b\in\mathbb Q$ does

Integral points of bounded degree on affine curves [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
We generalize Siegel's theorem on integral points on affine curves to integral points of bounded degree, giving a complete characterization of affine curves with infinitely many integral points of degree d or less over some number field.

Integral points of small height outside of a hypersurface [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
Let $F$ be a non-zero polynomial with integer coefficients in $N$ variables of degree $M$. We prove the existence of an integral point of small height at which $F$ does not vanish. Our basic bound depends on $N$ and $M$ only.

Integral points on a certain family of elliptic curves [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
The Thue-Siegel method is used to obtain an upper bound for the number of primitive integral solutions to a family of quartic Thue's inequalities. This will provide an upper bound for the number of integer points on a family of elliptic curves with j ...

Existence, well-posedness of coupled fixed points and application to nonlinear integral equations

open access: yesCubo, 2021
We investigate a fixed point problem for coupled Geraghty type contraction in a metric space with a binary relation. The role of the binary relation is to restrict the scope of the contraction to smaller number of ordered pairs.

Existence and uniqueness of the solutions of some classes of integral equations C*-algebra-valued b-metric spaces [PDF]

open access: yesVojnotehnički Glasnik, 2020
Introduction/purpose: The aim of the paper is to establish some coupled fixed point results in C*-algebra-valued b-metric spaces. Moreover, the obtained results are used to define the sufficient conditions for the existence of the solutions of some ...

Demand-Oriented Integrated Scheduling for Point-to-Point Airlines

open access: yesTransportation Science, 2017
Optimizing an airline schedule usually comprises multiple planning stages. These are the choice of flights to offer (schedule design), the assignment of fleets to flight legs (fleet assignment), and the construction of rotations under consideration of maintenance constraints (aircraft maintenance routing).
