The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

New applications of the existence of solutions for equilibrium equations with Neumann type boundary condition

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications, 2017
Using the existence of solutions for equilibrium equations with a Neumann type boundary condition as developed by Shi and Liao (J. Inequal. Appl. 2015:363, 2015), we obtain the Riesz integral representation for continuous linear maps associated with ...

The Symmetric Sugeno Integral [PDF]

open access: yes
We propose an extension of the Sugeno integral for negative numbers, in the spirit of the symmetric extension of Choquet integral, also called \Sipos\ integral.

Organ‐specific redox imbalances in spinal muscular atrophy mice are partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotides

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

Local uniqueness for singularly perturbed periodic nonlinear traction problems

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2014
We present a limiting property and a local uniqueness result for converging families of solutions of a singularly perturbed nonlinear traction problem in an unbounded periodic domain with small holes.

Advances in the generalized Cesàro polynomials

open access: yesҚарағанды университетінің хабаршысы. Математика сериясы
Cesàro polynomials have been extended in various ways and applied in diverse areas. In this paper, we aim to introduce a multivariable and multiparameter generalization of Cesàro polynomials.

A Unified Generalization of the Catalan, Fuss, and Fuss–Catalan Numbers

open access: yesMathematical and Computational Applications, 2019
In the paper, the authors introduce a unified generalization of the Catalan numbers, the Fuss numbers, the Fuss−Catalan numbers, and the Catalan−Qi function, and discover some properties of the unified generalization, including a product ...

On Some Formulas for the k-Analogue of Appell Functions and Generating Relations via k-Fractional Derivative

open access: yesFractal and Fractional, 2020
Our present investigation is mainly based on the k-hypergeometric functions which are constructed by making use of the Pochhammer k-symbol in Diaz et al. 2007, which are one of the vital generalizations of hypergeometric functions.
