Heaviside generalized functions and shock waves for a Burger kind equation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
The purpose of the work is to study the existence and nonexistence of shock wave solutions for the Burger equations. The study is developed in the context of Colombeau's theory of generalized functions (GFs).

Conserved binding mode but diverse interfaces of MreC‐PBP2 interactions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The crystal structure of abMreC reveals a conserved two β‐barrel architecture and provides structural insights into its role within the bacterial elongasome. The abMreC–abPBP2 complex model identifies the molecular basis of MreC‐mediated PBP2 recognition, contributing to the regulation of peptidoglycan synthesis.

On new families of integral transforms for the solution of partial differential equations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
The integral transform method, associated with operatorial techniques, can be often applied in order to construct solutions of initial value problems for partial differential equations.

Applications of the (q,τ)-Gamma function in fractional calculus and special functions

open access: yesExamples and Counterexamples
The (q,τ)-Gamma function provides a two-parameter extension of the classical and q-deformed Gamma functions, enabling enhanced modeling of memory and scaling effects in fractional calculus and special functions.

AscF in the mycobacterial CIII–CIV supercomplex lacks metal and nucleotide binding but links malate oxidation to respiration

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The mycobacterial CIII‐CIV respiratory supercomplex is an obligate assembly, encompassing several subunits of unknown functions. We have characterized the intracellular subunit AscF, and show that it is unlikely to be a sensor for metals or nucleotides, but is required for growth on nonfermentable energy sources, and likely works as an adapter for ...

The Best Bounds in Gautschi-Kershaw Inequalities [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
By employing the convolution theorem of Laplace transforms, some asymptotic formulas and integral representations of the gamma, psi and polygamma functions, and other analytic techniques, this note provides an alternative proof of a monotonicity and ...

Generalized Fractional Integral Operators Involving Mittag-Leffler Function

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2018
The aim of this paper is to study various properties of Mittag-Leffler (M-L) function. Here we establish two theorems which give the image of this M-L function under the generalized fractional integral operators involving Fox’s H-function as kernel ...

Operational Solution of Non-Integer Ordinary and Evolution-Type Partial Differential Equations

open access: yesAxioms, 2016
A method for the solution of linear differential equations (DE) of non-integer order and of partial differential equations (PDE) by means of inverse differential operators is proposed.

Modified special functions: properties, integral transforms and applications to fractional differential equations

open access: yesBoletim da Sociedade Paranaense de Matemática
In this paper, we defined the modified gamma and beta functions, which involving the generalized M-series at their kernels, and then defined the modified Gauss and confluent hypergeometric functions by using the modified beta function. Furthermore, we presented some of their properties such that, integral representations, summation formulas and ...

Certain Laplace transforms of convolution type integrals involving product of two special pFp functions

open access: yesDemonstratio Mathematica, 2018
Abstract Recently the authors obtained several Laplace transforms of convolution type integrals involving Kummer’s function 1F1 [Appl. Anal. Discrete Math., 2018, 12(1), 257-272]. In this paper, the authors aim at presenting several new and interesting Laplace transforms of convolution type integrals involving product of two special ...
