Polymer electro-optic devices for integrated optics
Chemical Physics, 1999Abstract Recent advances in polymer electro-optic polymers and in fabrication techniques have made possible advances in polymer optical guided wave devices which bring them much closer to system ready. The processing of a new thermal set FTC polymer and its incorporation into a high-frequency, low-Vπ optical amplitude modulator are reviewed.

Integrated optic device modeling
SPIE Proceedings, 1994The modern production of integrated optic devices (IOD) is impossible without integration of all its components into a unified system ranging from the coordination of device parameters to their sales. The integration of artificial intelligence methods, microtechnologies and modern communications helps create IODs of quite a new quality.

Integrated bistable optical devices
Applied Physics Letters, 1978We describe several versions of an integrated bistable optical device fabricated with Ti in-diffused waveguides in LiNbO3. The ends of the LiNbO3 crystal are cleaved to form a Fabry-Perot resonator. These devices can be operated with as little as 1 pJ of optical switching energy.

Passive Integrated Optic Devices
Optical Fiber Sensors, 1988Fiber and integrated optic sensors are gaining importance. For the new generation of integrated and fiber optic sensors the micro- and fiber-optic elements will be replaced by integrated optics. IO-technologies, applications of optical sensors and IO-elements will be discussed. Specific examples will be presented.

Integrated optical parametric devices
Journal of Lightwave Technology, 1986A short review of the development and the state of the art of integrated optical parametric devices for nonlinear optical frequency conversion is given. The special aspects for phase matching and field overlap in waveguide devices are discussed. Material systems used for second-order nonlinear effects are reviewed.
