Model-Based Control Design and Integration of Cyberphysical Systems: An Adaptive Cruise Control Case Study

open access: yesJournal of Control Science and Engineering, 2013
The systematic design of automotive control applications is a challenging problem due to lack of understanding of the complex and tight interactions that often manifest during the integration of components from the control design phase with the ...

Integrity in Information Systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 1997
This paper has been produced in October 1994 as a working paper for the City University Business School, in the context of the activities of IFIP TC-11 Working Group 11.5. This working group addresses “Integrity and Internal Control in Information Systems” within the overall remit of Technical Committee 11 (TC-11) “Security and Protection in ...

The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.

Design and Analysis of XOR Logic Gate Based on Two-Photon Absorption

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2016
Two-photon absorption with high intensity pump beam occurs in a SOA depends on fast phase change of a weak probe signal. This work analysed optical XOR logic function using two-photon absorption induced fast phase change. A rate equation for SOA and both

Organizing the interface—Plasma membrane architecture and receptor dynamics in virus‐cell interactions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Plasma membranes contain dynamic nanoscale domains that organize lipids and receptors. Because viruses operate at similar scales, this architecture shapes early infection steps, including attachment, receptor engagement, and entry. Using influenza A virus and HIV‐1 as examples, we highlight how receptor nanoclusters, multivalent glycan interactions ...

Scaling Logic Area With Multitier Standard Cells

open access: yesIEEE Journal on Exploratory Solid-State Computational Devices and Circuits
While the footprint of digital complementary metal-oxide–semiconductor (CMOS) circuits has continued to decrease over the years, physical limitations for further intralayer geometric scaling become apparent.

Investigation of All-photonic Multiple Signals Format Converter to Carrier- suppressed Signals

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2016
Advance modulation format such as carrier suppressed return to zero (CSRZ) is used in several optical communication systems. The generation of CSRZ signal is reported in this paper by means of allphotonics format converter to its suppressed carrier ...

Epigenetic blind spots – the role of DNA methylation dynamics in stem cell‐based models of embryogenesis

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.
