A multiprocess quality model: identification of of key processes in the integration approach [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
In this paper we investigate the use of multiprocess quality model in the adoption of process improvement frameworks. We analyze an improvement effort based on multiple process quality models adoption.

In situ molecular organization and heterogeneity of the Legionella Dot/Icm T4SS

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We present a nearly complete in situ model of the Legionella Dot/Icm type IV secretion system, revealing its central secretion channel and identifying new components. Using cryo‐electron tomography with AI‐based modeling, our work highlights the structure, variability, and mechanism of this complex nanomachine, advancing understanding of bacterial ...

Integration Processes in Latin America

open access: yesLatin American Journal of Trade Policy, 2018
After describing, within the framework of “Open Regionalism”, the tortuous process that the Central American countries have experienced to achieve their integration as a Common Market, this article analyses the relationship between these countries and ...

Summability of stochastic processes: a generalization of integration and co-integration valid for non-linear processes [PDF]

open access: yes
The order of integration is valid to characterize linear processes; but it is not appropriate for non-linear worlds. We propose the concept of summability (a re-scaled partial sum of the process being Op(1)) to handle non-linearities.

Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).

The effects of forest canopy shading and turbulence on boundary layer ozone

open access: yesNature Communications, 2017
Fully quantifying the influence of vegetation on atmospheric chemistry remains challenging. Here, the authors show that forest canopy shading and turbulence significantly modify air pollution throughout the atmospheric boundary layer, and must be taken ...
