Service architecture design for E-Businesses: A pattern-based approach [PDF]
E-business involves the implementation of business processes over the Web. At a technical level, this imposes an application integration problem. In a wider sense, the integration of software and business levels across organisations becomes a significant

Aβ42 promotes the aggregation of α‐synuclein splice isoforms via heterogeneous nucleation
The aggregation of amyloid‐β (Aβ) and α‐synuclein (αSyn) is associated with Alzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases. This study reveals that Aβ aggregates serve as potent nucleation sites for the aggregation of αSyn and its splice isoforms, shedding light on the intricate interplay between these two pathogenic proteins.

The integrated periodogram for stable processes
We consider the linear process \[ X_t= \sum_{j=-\infty}^\infty \psi_j Z_{t-j}, \qquad t\in\mathbb{Z}, \] where \((Z_t)_{t\in\mathbb{Z}}\) is a noise sequence of i.i.d. symmetric \(\alpha\)-stable r.v.'s for \(\alpha\in (0,2)\). This implies in particular that \(Z_t\) and \(X_t\) have infinite variance. In two preceding papers [Stochastic Processes Appl.

In this work, we reveal how different enzyme binding configurations influence the fluorescence decay of NAD(P)H in live cells using time‐resolved anisotropy imaging and fluorescence lifetime imaging microscopy (FLIM). Mathematical modelling shows that the redox states of the NAD and NADP pools govern these configurations, shaping their fluorescence ...

Neutrophil deficiency increases T cell numbers at the site of tissue injury in mice
In wild‐type mice, injury or acute inflammation induces neutrophil influx followed by macrophage accumulation. Mcl1ΔMyelo (neutrophil‐deficient) mice lack neutrophils, and in response to muscle injury show fewer macrophages and exhibit strikingly elevated T‐cell numbers, primarily non‐conventional “double‐negative” (DN) αβ and γδ T cells.

The processes of identity integration
Despite inevitable elusiveness of its meanings, explication of the persisting issues of identity remains the challenge for contemporary humans. Inability to achieve full insight into its complexity points to the need to corelate basic ideas as the essential way of self-cognition and self-awareness, which represent the meaning, value and the purpose of ...
