Natural carbon removal as technology

open access: yesWIREs Climate Change, Volume 13, Issue 2, March/April 2022., 2022
Nature based solutions have to be standardized and machine‐like to work, so there is a tension between seeing them as natural and as technological, which matters for both public acceptance and for the risk that natural carbon removal might deter emissions reduction efforts.

Integrability for Feynman integrals

open access: yesSciPost Physics Proceedings, 2023
We give a brief overview of the Yangian symmetry of Feynman integrals. After a short introduction to the Yangian and integrability, we motivate the emergence of integrable structures for Feynman integrals via the fishnet limit of AdS/CFT. We discuss the resulting Yangian differential equations for massless fishnets in four dimensions as well as ...

What Alternative Do I Have?: Syrian Immigrant Entrepreneurs and Interest‐Based Financing in Norway

open access: yesGlobal Policy, Volume 16, Issue S1, Page 74-81, January 2025.
ABSTRACT Syrian refugee entrepreneurs in Norway navigate a financing and support system that they find largely exclusive and unaccepting when it comes to launching and operating a new business. Using a case study of a Syrian Muslim immigrant entrepreneur and a lecture on the topic by a religious leader in a major mosque in Oslo, this paper utilizes a ...

Electronic information resources: integration - integration - integration

open access: yesSerials: The Journal for the Serials Community, 2003
This article describes the ELIN@ service (Electronic Library Information Navigator), a system Lund University Libraries have managed to develop to tackle the problem of integration of electronic information resources, increase the use of these resources and make the administration of the e-resources more efficient. The development of the extended ...

Convex integration theory without integration [PDF]

open access: yesMathematische Zeitschrift, 2021
We replace the usual Convex Integration formula by a Corrugation Process and introduce the notion of Kuiper differential relations. This notion provides a natural framework for the construction of solutions with self-similarity properties. We consider the case of the totally real relation, we prove that it is Kuiper and we state a totally real ...

Data integration under integrity constraints [PDF]

open access: yesInformation Systems, 2002
Data integration systems provide access to a set of heterogeneous, autonomous data sources through a so-called global schema. There are basically two approaches for designing a data integration system. In the global-as-view approach, one defines the elements of the global schema as views over the sources, whereas in the local-as-view approach, one ...

INTEGRATION – WHAT INTEGRATION?

open access: yesEuropean Societies, 2012
ABSTRACT Since the founding of the European Union, religion has become an increasingly important aspect in shaping European identity and thereby social cohesion in Europe. Social cohesion depends to a high degree on a successfully established distinction between ‘us’ and ‘them’.
