Soft Hardware, Flowing Software: Reconfigurable Microfluidics for Adaptable Chemical Computation

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A reconfigurable microfluidic platform based on soft, photo‐printable, and chemically erasable hydrogel structures printed and erased in situ is used to control flow routing, mixing, chemical patterning, and even chemical computing. Using hardware to control chemical computations decouples logic function from molecular composition, demonstrated via ...

Intelligence Analysis [PDF]

open access: possibleIntelligence Info, 2023
The analysts are in the field of "knowledge". Intelligence refers to knowledge and the types of problems addressed are knowledge problems. So, we need a concept of work based on knowledge. We need a basic understanding of what we know and how we know, what we do not know, and even what can be known and what is not known.

Intelligent Analysis of Biosignals

2005 IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology 27th Annual Conference, 2005
While biosignal analysis has been a mainstay in many medical applications for a number of decades, notably in cardiology, problems remain in the analysis of high volume data and in comparison among time series. Effective comparisons can determine if the state of a particular patient has changed significantly.

Intelligent program analysis

Artificial Intelligence, 1976
In order to examine the possibilities of using a computer as an aid to teaching programming, a prototype intelligent program analyzer has been constructed. Its design assumes that a system cannot analyze a program unless it can "understand" it; understanding being based on a knowledge of what must be accomplished and how code is used to express the ...

On the intelligence of the intelligent data analysis

Automatic Documentation and Mathematical Linguistics, 2014
Some functional features of software tools for computer data analysis are described, which make it possible to assign software tools of this type to the class of intelligent systems (in the meaning of this term that is traditional for research in artificial intelligence).

Intelligent Data Analysis of Intelligent Systems

2010
We consider the value of structured priors in the analysis of data sampled from complex adaptive systems. We propose that adaptive dynamics entails basic constraints (memory, information processing) and features (optimization and evolutionary history) that serve to significantly narrow search spaces and candidate parameter values.

Intelligent GI Analysis

1999
Geographic Information Analysis (GIA) embraces a whole cluster of techniques and models which apply formal, usually mathematical and statistical, structures to systems in which the prime variables of interest vary significantly across space. GIA is currently entering a period of rapid change leading to what may be termed intelligent GIA.
