Intelligent reflecting surfaces based offset index modulation for MIMO systems [PDF]
In this paper, we introduce the concept of offset to the field of intelligent reflecting surfaces-based index modulation (IRS-IM) and propose an IRS-based offset IM (IRSOIM) scheme. The IRS-OIM scheme not only divides the IRS elements into several blocks

A 3D‐printed piezoionic GPMx hydrogel enables stable electromechanical signal generation under mechanical loading, exhibiting long‐term durability and low fatigue. As a bioactive patch, it restores endogenous bioelectricity to stimulate osteogenesis via Ca2+ influx and mitochondrial activation, while simultaneously enabling label‐free alkaline ...

Neutrophil‐Mimetic MRI Enables Ultra‐Early Detection of Vascular Inflammation After Stroke
In this study, we developed neutrophil‐mimetic MRI probes that detect ultra‐early neuroinflammation following ischemic stroke by targeting E‐selectin. Within seconds of their injection, these microparticles mimic initial leukocyte adhesion to the activated cerebral endothelium.

Performance of Massive MIMO Aided by Reflective Intelligent Surfaces
Abstract Reflective intelligent surfaces (RIS) are large passive panels with hundreds or thousands of passive reflective meta- surface sensors, with the ability to electronically adjust the angle- of-departure (AoD) of the incident signal but not to apply any amplification and signal processing to the radio frequency signal.

Atomic Layer Deposition Processes: Versatile Platforms for Engineering ZnO‐Chitosan Biointerfaces
Vapour phase metalation (VPM), multiplied pulsed vapour phase infiltration (MPI), and O2 plasma‑enhanced atomic layer deposition (PEALD) tailor Zn–chitosan (Zn‑CS) films. PEALD improves wettability and biocompatibility. MPI enhances semiconductor behavior. Antiseptic selectivity: VPM → E. coli; MPI → H. pylori.

Surface‐host dialogue at the implant interface governs biological fate and osseointegration. Surface physicochemical properties of titanium (Ti) dental implants, including microgrooves, nanopatterns, nanotopography, roughness, and wettability, modulate the initial adsorption of proteins and the formation of a dynamic biointerface.
