Single‐cell DNA methylation profiling: Technologies, computation, and applications in precision oncology

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Single‐cell DNA methylation (scDNAme) profiling maps epimutational clonal evolution, revealing mechanisms of malignancy and therapeutic resistance across diverse cancer types. By providing a high‐resolution landscape of intratumoral heterogeneity, these technologies empower precise patient stratification, guide the development of enhanced ...

Real Time Short-term Forecasting Method of Remaining Parking Space in Urban Parking Guidance Systems

open access: yesPromet (Zagreb), 2018
Short-term forecasting of the remaining parking space is important for urban parking guidance systems (PGS). The previous methods like polynomial equations and neural network methods are difficult to be applied in practice because of low accuracy or ...

CEACAM1 participation in breast cancer progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In invasive breast cancer (BC), CEACAM1 shifts from an apical to a uniform membranous/cytoplasmic pattern, or is lost, as tumors dedifferentiate, inversely tracking the Ki‐67 proliferative index. In MCF‐7 cells, only CEACAM1‐4L suppresses proliferation, repressing cell cycle and growth factor genes.

A light‐triggered Time‐Resolved X‐ray Solution Scattering (TR‐XSS) workflow with application to protein conformational dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...

Learn, Assign, and Search: Real-Time Estimation of Dynamic Origin-Destination Flows Using Machine Learning Algorithms

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
A common way to estimate dynamic origin-destination (O-D) flows is to establish and solve a bilevel optimization model. Though numerous efforts have been devoted to effectively and efficiently solving the model, challenges still exist because of the ...

Pharmacological inhibition of the PERK pathway modulates hepatocellular carcinoma growth and immune signaling

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Pharmacological inhibition of PERK in a DEN‐induced mouse model of liver cancer does not reduce tumor burden but alters cellular stress signaling. Despite blocking PERK activity, downstream stress responses, including CHOP expression, remain active, suggesting compensatory mechanisms within the unfolded protein response that may influence tumor ...

A Distributed Magnetic Sensor Network: Vehicle Trajectory Tracking Based on Cellular Automaton

open access: yesJournal of Advanced Transportation
Magnetic sensor-based vehicle detection is a crucial approach for traffic information collection. However, existing methods that rely on individual magnetic sensors—typically installed at the lane center or roadside—struggle in multilane scenarios due to

Robust Traffic Signal Retiming Based on Queue Service Time Estimation Using Low-Penetration Connected Vehicle Data

open access: yesSystems
Signal retiming is the most cost-efficient measure to reduce vehicle delay and alleviate congestion on urban roads. Previous studies have explored the potential of using connected vehicle data for signal retiming specifically under the current low ...
