SIMULATION OF SYSTEM FOR REPRODUCTION OF HIGH INTENSITY HEAT FLUX
Ukrainian Metrological Journal, 2020Control of integral heat losses energy facilities during operation and fire tests are accompanied by an intensive heat transfer process in which the values of the surface heat flux reach about 200 kW/m2. Measurement of the heat flux is carried out using contact (heat flux sensors) and contactless (radiometers of measuring instruments) sensors, which ...

Composite Heat Shields in Intense Energy Fluxes with Diffusion
Russian Engineering Research, 2019A method is proposed for bench testing of reusable composite samples under intense thermal and ionizing radiation. Tests are conducted under intense energy fluxes. As a result of the tests, the temperature field and the displacement field at the surface of heat-shielding composite and in its depth are determined at different times.

The Importance of Photospheric Intense Flux Tubes for Coronal Heating
Solar Physics, 1997Dissipation of magnetic energy in the corona requires the creation of very fine scale-lengths because of the high magnetic Reynolds number of the plasma. The formation of current sheets is a natural possible solution to this problem and it is now known that a magnetic field that is stressed by continous photospheric motions through a series of ...

Intensive cooling method for power electronic component with high heat flux
2014 13th International Conference on Control Automation Robotics & Vision (ICARCV), 2014A significant amount of attention has been focused on the methods of high heat flux removal due to the advancing requirements of the electronics industry. Water spray cooling is one of the best candidates for these thermal control problems. A new heater designed to simulate the high heat flux was briefly presented.

Study on transient heat flux intensity factor with interaction integral
International Journal of Thermal Sciences, 2019Abstract Aim at determining of the heat flux intensity factor (HFIF) near a crack tip in structures under transient heat flux load, the transient JT integral is defined firstly and proved to be path-independent. Based on the path-independence of the transient JT integral, a transient interaction integral utilized to extract the transient HFIF is ...

Pulsed action of intense heat fluxes and volume heat sources on metals
Journal of Engineering Physics, 1967When a high-power thermal pulse acts on a metal, evaporation is one of the chief effects taking place during this thermophysical process. The temperature field of the metal is considered, allowing for evaporation, when both the surface and interior of the metal (or the surface alone) are exposed to intense thermal action.

An interaction integral method for calculating heat flux intensity factor with the XFEM
International Journal of Thermal Sciences, 2019Abstract The JT integral is defined to extract the heat flux intensity factor (HFIF), which is used to describe the singularity of heat flux near the tip of a crack, and the path-independence of the JT integral is theoretically proven. Based on the JT integral, the relationship between the HFIF and an interaction integral is established through ...

A radiometer for measuring high-intensity heat flux density and a method of calibrating it
Measurement Techniques, 2012The construction of an instrument for measuring time-varying high-intensity heat fluxes with a density of up to 50 kW/m3 is described and a model of an absolutely black body for calibrating it is presented. The procedure for making the calibration is described.

Thermal and mechanical behaviour of diagnostic windows subjected to intense heat fluxes
Fusion Engineering and Design, 2000The diagnostic windows of a machine for thermonuclear fusion experiments are basically subjected to atmospheric pressure and thermal loads due to plasma radiation. The glass or ceramic windows capable of withstanding the expected design loads become critical components if a highly radiative plasma is present near the window, as experienced in RFX ...
