Background It is critical to identify children living with HIV and initiate lifesaving antiretroviral treatment (ART) early. The Pediatric Accelerated Case Finding Effort focused on contact elicitation and HIV testing of ART clients’ biological children.

The proposed mechanism of action for the CDK12/13 inhibitor and cyclin K degrader, CT7439. CDK12/13 inhibition interrupts transcription elongation, leading to increased DNA damage that results in cell death. This agent is a potentially novel treatment option for patients with colorectal cancer. Created in BioRender. Cyclin‐dependent kinase (CDK) 12 and

Drug resistance limits treatment success in a subset of lung cancers driven by ROS1 gene alterations. Using patient‐derived cells and computer simulations, we studied three key mutations and how they affect five targeted drugs. The mutations reduced drug effectiveness in different ways by altering protein structure and behavior.

Guidelines for intensified tuberculosis case-finding and isoniazid preventative therapy for people living with HIV in resource-constrained settings [PDF]
Tuberculosis (TB) is responsible for more than a quarter of deaths in people living with HIV. Isoniazid Preventive Therapy (IPT) and Intensified tuberculosis Case-Finding (ICF) are key public health interventions that significantly reduce the morbidity ...

Unique biological samples, such as site‐specific mutant proteins, are available only in limited quantities. Here, we present a polarization‐resolved transient infrared spectroscopy setup with referencing to improve signal‐to‐noise tailored towards tracing small signals. We provide an overview of characterizing the excitation conditions for polarization‐

Nuclear pore links Fob1‐dependent rDNA damage relocation to lifespan control
Damaged rDNA accumulates at a specific perinuclear interface that couples nucleolar escape with nuclear envelope association. Nuclear pores at this site help inhibit Fob1‐induced rDNA instability. This spatial organization of damage handling supports a functional link between nuclear architecture, rDNA stability, and replicative lifespan in yeast.
