The High Intensity Proton Accelerator Facility
The High Intensity Proton Accelerator Facility at PSI routinely produces a proton beam with up to 1.4 MW power at a kinetic energy of 590 MeV. The beam is used to generate neutrons in spallation targets, and pions in meson production targets.
