Potential Spectral Tuning of the Tapetum Lucidum in a Broadly Distributed Ungulate
ABSTRACT The tapetum lucidum, a biological reflector system found in the eyes of many vertebrate species, enhances visual sensitivity in low light conditions by reflecting light back through the retina. The structure of the ungulate tapetum fibrosum is unique, and its reflectance varies temporally in reindeer (Rangifer tarandus).

Tidal Formation of Dark Matter Deficit Diffuse Galaxy NGC 1052-DF2 by SIDM
Observations have revealed a significant dark matter deficit in the ultradiffuse galaxy NGC 1052-DF2 (DF2). It is widely accepted that the formation of this unique galaxy can be attributed to the tidal stripping of its host galaxy, NGC 1052.

Interacting Galaxies with MOND
We compare N-body simulations performed in MOND with analogs in Newtonian gravity with dark matter (DM). We have developed a code which solves the Poisson equation in both gravity models. It is a grid solver using adaptive mesh refinement techniques, allowing us to study isolated galaxies as well as interacting galaxies.

Bar-spheroid interaction in galaxies
The secular evolution of barred galaxies is explored using N-body simulation and linear analysis. In particular, we examine the interaction between bars and spheroidal components of galaxies. According to our calculations, this interaction drives secular transfer of angular momentum from bars to spheroids, primarily through resonant coupling.

Multidrug resistant Pseudomonas (P.) aeruginosa is detected in many infected wounds and is challenging to treat with antibiotics. As an alternative, this work incorporates anti‐P. aeruginosa Neko phages into electrospun fibres to explore their potential for treating infected wounds.

A Multiwavelength Portrait of the 3C 220.3 Lensed System
The 3C 220.3 system is a rare case of a foreground narrow-line radio galaxy (“galaxy A,” z _A = 0.6850) lensing a background submillimeter galaxy ( z _SMG = 2.221).

Only the Lonely: H I Imaging of Void Galaxies
Void galaxies, residing within the deepest underdensities of the Cosmic Web, present an ideal population for the study of galaxy formation and evolution in an environment undisturbed by the complex processes modifying galaxies in clusters and groups, as ...
