Dielectric photonic quasi-crystals with doubled quasi-periodicity
Optical range electromagnetic field interaction with inhomogeneous finite dielectric media is investigated. New method for analysis of this interaction in 1D case based on integral equations for fields in transient media is proposed.

An Integrated Approach to Develop Interactive Software [PDF]
In this poster we present InterMod, an approach that combines Agile Methods, Model-Driven Developments and User-Centered Design, which are widely accepted in the development of interactive software. The planning and project organizing are based on User Objectives (user desires).

A Theoretical Study on the Rank of the Integral Operators for Large-‐Scale Electrodynamic Analysis
We theoretically prove that the minimal rank of the interaction between two separated geometry blocks in an integral-equation based analysis of general three-dimensional objects, for a prescribed error bound, scales linearly with the electric size of the

An isoform of 14‐3‐3 protein regulates transbilayer lipid movement at the plasma membrane
Loss of 14‐3‐3ζ in CHO cells confers resistance to exogenous phosphatidylserine (PS) and impairs endocytosis‐independent inward flip‐flop of fluorescent PS at the plasma membrane. RNAi‐mediated knockdown reproduces this defect, while no additive effect is seen in ATP11C‐deficient cells.

On the Extension of Pseudo-Boolean Functions for the Aggregation of Interacting Criteria [PDF]
The paper presents an analysis on the use of integrals defined for non-additive measures (or capacities) as the Choquet and the \Sipos{} integral, and the multilinear model, all seen as extensions of pseudo-Boolean functions, and used as a means to model

Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.

Modeling attitudes toward uncertainty through the use of the Sugeno integral [PDF]
The aim of the paper is to present under uncertainty, and in an ordinal framework, an axiomatic treatment of the Sugeno integral in terms of preferences which parallels some earlier derivations devoted to the Choquet integral.

pH‐mediated activation of the lysosomal arginine sensor SLC38A9
Cells monitor nutrient levels via the lysosomal transporter SLC38A9 to activate the mechanistic target of rapamycin complex 1 (mTORC1). This study reveals that SLC38A9 function is regulated by pH. We identified histidine 544 as a critical pH sensor that undergoes conformational changes to control amino acid efflux from lysosomes; therefore, it ...

Modelling fraud detection by attack trees and Choquet integral [PDF]
Modelling an attack tree is basically a matter of associating a logical ÒndÓand a logical ÒrÓ but in most of real world applications related to fraud management the Ònd/orÓlogic is not adequate to effectively represent the relationship between a parent ...
