Elevated Connectivity During Language Processing Is Associated With Cognitive Performance in SeLECTS
ABSTRACT Objective Self‐Limited Epilepsy with Centrotemporal Spikes (SeLECTS) is associated with language impairments despite seizures originating in the motor cortex, suggesting aberrant cross‐network interactions. Here we tested whether functional connectivity in SeLECTS during language tasks predicts language performance.

ABSTRACT Objective Considerable efforts have been dedicated to developing effective treatments for post‐stroke executive impairment (PSEI), among which repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) has shown great potential. This study aimed to investigate the therapeutic effects of high‐frequency rTMS on working memory (WM) and response ...

ABSTRACT Objective Variants in SLC6A1, encoding the GABA transporter 1 (GAT‐1), cause epilepsy, autism spectrum disorder, and developmental delay via loss of GABA uptake, impaired trafficking, and ER retention. We previously found that 4‐Phenylbutyrate (PBA), an FDA‐approved drug, restores GABA uptake and reduces seizures in SLC6A1‐related disorders ...

Peripheral Neutrophil Activation and Extracellular Trap Formation in Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis
Markers of neutrophil activation are increased in plasma during ALS, and markers of NET formation associate with ALS survival. ABSTRACT Objectives Peripheral neutrophil levels in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) inversely correlate with survival, suggesting a role for neutrophils in disease progression.

"Synchrony" as a way to choose an interacting partner.
Robots are poised to fill a growing number of roles in todays society. In future, we could have robots expected to behave as companion in our home, offices etc. Moving to social robotics imply to address several issues related to human-robot interactions for instance, how the robot can develop an attentional mechanism and select an interacting agent ...

A Two‐Stage Questionnaire and Actigraphy Screening for iRBD in a Multicenter Retrospective Cohort
ABSTRACT Objective Isolated rapid‐eye‐movement sleep behavior disorder is a prodromal marker of synucleinopathies. However, most cases remain undiagnosed due to the insufficient predictive value of questionnaires and limited access to confirmatory video‐polysomnography. We assessed a two‐stage screening strategy combining a brief questionnaire on rapid‐

Routes to synchrony between asymmetrically interacting oscillator ensembles [PDF]
We report that asymmetrically interacting ensembles of oscillators (AIEOs) follow novel routes to synchrony. These routes seem to be a characteristic feature of coupling asymmetry. We show that they are unaffected by white noise except that the entrainment frequencies are shifted.
