Isopod holobionts as promising models for lignocellulose degradation

EFFECTIVE INTERACTIONS ARE EFFECTIVE INTERACTIONS [PDF]
The subject of effective interactions is introduced and applications in both quantum mechanics and quantum field theory are presented. In particular the use of chiral perturbation theory as an effective low energy description of QCD is developed and it is argued that such methods rally are effective in both the meson and baryonic sectors.

Parametric mapping of cellular morphology in plant tissue sections by gray level granulometry
Background The cellular morphology of plant organs is strongly related to other physical properties such as shape, size, growth, mechanical properties or chemical composition. Cell morphology often vary depending on the type of tissue, or on the distance

Reconceptualizing sex, brain and psychopathology: interaction, interaction, interaction [PDF]
In recent years there has been a growing recognition of the influence of sex on brain structure and function, and in relation, on the susceptibility, prevalence and response to treatment of psychiatric disorders. Most theories and descriptions of the effects of sex on the brain are dominated by an analogy to the current interpretation of the effects of
