Alkaline Metal Intercalates of VSe2 by Electrochemical Intercalation
AbstractWe report on the series of the alkali metal intercalates of VSe2 synthesised by electrochemical means in an aqueous environment. For all alkali metals we find water‐conintercalated structures (stage I and stage II), of which only the sodium structure had been reported so far.

Mg/Cr-(COO)22- layered double hydroxide for malachite green removal
Mg/Cr layered double hydroxide (LDH) was prepared and modified using an intercalation of oxalate anions ((COO)22-) to form Mg/Cr-(COO)22. The materials were then investigated to malachite green removal to determine the adsorption ability.

Mixing Acid Salts and Layered Double Hydroxides in Nanoscale under Solid Condition
The immobilization of potassium sorbate, potassium aspartate and sorbic acid in layered double hydroxide under solid condition was examined. By simply mixing two solids, immobilization of sorbate and aspartate in the interlayer space of nitrate-type ...

Influence of Energy State of Montmorillonite Interlayer Cations on Organic Intercalation
It is well known that the intercalation of montmorillonite (Mt) with organic cations is a fast process. During the intercalation, the interaction between the original cations and the structure layer of Mt keeps changing, and the basal spacing of Mt keeps

Electrochemical study of the electrodeposition and intercalation of sodium into graphite from sodium chloride as the first step of carbon nano-tubes formation [PDF]
The mechanism of sodium reduction in sodium chloride melt at three different electrodes has been investigated by means of cyclic voltammetry. The definition of so-called ‘thermodynamic’ or ‘material balance’ reversibility has been introduced. It has been

Graphite intercalation compound with iodine as the major intercalate [PDF]
Halogenated graphite CBr(x)I(y) (I less than y/x less than 10) was made by exposing graphite materials to either pure Br2 or an I2/Br2/HBr mixture to initiate the reaction, and then to iodine vapor containing a small amount of Br2/HBr/IBr to complete the intercalation reaction.
