Self-routing lowest common ancestor networks [PDF]

open access: yes, 1992
Multistage interconnection networks (MIN's) allow communication between terminals on opposing sides of a network. Lowest Common Ancestor Networks (LCAN's) [1] have switches capable of connecting bi-directional links in a permutation pattern that ...

Characterization of a Recyclate‐Based MgO‐Steel Composite As‐Sintered Inert Anode Candidate After Exposure to Cryolite Electrolysis

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Carbon‐free inert anodes are essential for decarbonizing aluminum electrolysis. This study investigates a recyclate‐based MgO‐316L steel composite anode tested under galvanostatic Hall–Héroult conditions in cryolite at 1000°C. Microstructural analysis reveals selective MgO fluorination, spinel and oxide layer formation, electrolyte infiltration, and ...

t/k-Diagnosability of Regular Networks under the Comparison Model

open access: yesSensors
As multiprocessor systems continue to grow in processor scale, the incidence of faults also increases. As a result, fault diagnosis is becoming a key mechanism for maintaining the normal operation of multiprocessor systems.

Corrosion and Process Analysis of a Preoxidized MgO Recyclate‐Based Cermet Anode in Laboratory‐Scale Na‐Cryolite Molten Salt Electrolysis of Aluminum at 1000°C

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
EDX elemental map of the pre‐oxidized MgO–steel cermet anode cross section after electrolysis. The development of inert anodes for aluminum electrolysis remains challenging due to the high corrosivity of cryolite‐based melts at 950°C–1000°C. This study investigates the corrosion and process behavior of a carbon‐free MgO–steel cermet anode derived from ...

A complete classification of which $(n,k)$-star graphs are Cayley graphs

open access: yes, 2017
The $(n,k)$-star graphs are an important class of interconnection networks that generalize star graphs, which are superior to hypercubes. In this paper, we continue the work begun by Cheng et al.~(Graphs and Combinatorics 2017) and complete the ...

Rafting of Ni‐Based Superalloys Under Multiaxial Load as Understood by Phase‐Field Simulations and Critical Experiments

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Phase‐field simulations coupled with dislocation‐density‐based crystal plasticity modeling reproduce γ′ rafting behavior in single‐crystal Ni‐based superalloys under varied loading conditions. The model captures both macroscopic creep and microscopic morphology evolution, with results matching high‐temperature creep experiments.

The Generalized 3-Connectivity of Exchanged Folded Hypercubes

open access: yesAxioms
For S⊆V(G),κG(S) denotes the maximum number k of edge disjoint trees T1,T2,…,Tk in G, such that V(Ti)∩V(Tj)=S for any i,j∈{1,2,…,k} and i≠j. For an integer 2≤r≤|V(G)|, the generalized r-connectivity of G is defined as κr(G)=min{κG(S)|S⊆V(G)and|S|=r}.

3D (Bio) Printing Combined Fiber Fabrication Methods for Tissue Engineering Applications: Possibilities and Limitations

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Biofabrication aims at providing innovative technologies and tools for the fabrication of tissue‐like constructs for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine applications. By integrating multiple biofabrication technologies, such as 3D (bio) printing with fiber fabrication methods, it would be more realistic to reconstruct native tissue's ...

Survey of switching techniques in high-speed networks and their performance [PDF]

open access: yes, 1989
One of the most promising approaches for high speed networks for integrated service applications is fast packet switching, or ATM (Asynchronous Transfer Mode).
