Climate Change Shows Inverse Effects on Grain Yield and Protein Concentration in West Africa
Abstract Climate change driven shifts in temperature, precipitation patterns, and atmospheric CO2 concentrations threaten both productivity and nutritional quality of maize, a staple crop that underpins daily energy and protein intake for millions of households in Africa and beyond.

We applied three thiamethoxam spray treatments to buckwheat border strips: control (no nearby spray), drift (adjacent peach trees directly sprayed) and direct spray (buckwheat and peaches directly sprayed). Drift‐treated buckwheat received about 1.4% the amount of thiamethoxam as direct‐spray buckwheat. This amount has no lethal effects on parasitoids,

Food Gifting and Household Food Security
ABSTRACT Food gifting provides an important means of risk sharing in agrarian economies where farming households have limited access to formal credit and insurance markets. Food gifting is also an important source of food for households that are struggling with food scarcity.
