Ternary interdiffusion coefficients in α2-phase Ti3Al/Nb system [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Mining and Metallurgy. Section B: Metallurgy, 2012
The α2 single phase interdiffusion in Ti3Al-Nb ternary system was studied at temperatures of 1323, 1373 and 1423 K. The interdiffusion coefficients were calculated by the method of Dayananda.

INTERDIFFUSION OF Mo AND W UNDER IN-PILE IRRADIATION CONDITIONS [PDF]

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2021
The study has established that reactor radiation leads to a significant increase of interdiffusion coefficients in a Mo-W alloy compared to thermally activated diffusion at temperatures of ~1500°С.

Effect of Vacancy Defect Content on the Interdiffusion of Cubic and Hexagonal SiC/Al Interfaces: A Molecular Dynamics Study

open access: yesMolecules, 2023
The mechanical properties of ceramic–metal nanocomposites are greatly affected by the equivalent properties of the interface of materials. In this study, the effect of vacancy in SiC on the interdiffusion of SiC/Al interfaces is investigated using the ...

Comparison of CrN, AlN and TiN Diffusion Barriers on the Interdiffusion and Oxidation Behaviors of Ni+CrAlYSiN Nanocomposite Coatings

open access: yesCrystals, 2021
CrN, AlN, TiN layer were prepared as diffusion barriers between the K417 substrate and Ni+CrAlYSiN nano composite coatings via vacuum arc evaporation. Oxidation kinetics and microstructure evaluation of these nano coating systems at 1000 °C after 100 h ...

The potential application of Ru in aluminide coatings with reduced Al contents: A combined experimental and theoretical study

open access: yesMaterials & Design, 2023
Aluminide coatings are widely used on turbine blades due to their excellent oxidation resistance. However, the interdiffusion between these coatings and superalloy substrates can lead to a deterioration of mechanical properties in the coated alloys.

Influence of solute-source composition on composition-dependent interdiffusion coefficient

open access: yesResults in Physics, 2022
The validity of a long-held implicit assumption that the composition-dependent interdiffusion coefficient is a material parameter that is isothermally constant, irrespective of solute-source composition, is studied theoretically and experimentally ...

State-of-the-Art Diffusion Studies in the High Entropy Alloys

open access: yesMetals, 2020
The development of the high entropy alloys (HEAs) is amongst the most important topics in the field of materials science during the last two decades. The concept of multicomponent, near-equimolar systems has been already applied to the number of other ...

On Sluggish Diffusion in Fcc Al–Co–Cr–Fe–Ni High-Entropy Alloys: An Experimental and Numerical Study

open access: yesMetals, 2017
High-throughput measurement using the numerical inverse method combined with the diffusion multiple technique was employed to determine the composition-dependent interdiffusion coefficients in fcc Al–Co–Cr–Fe–Ni high-entropy alloys at 1273, 1323, and ...

Synthesis and sintering of ceramic nanocomposites with high mixed conductivity [PDF]

open access: yesScience of Sintering, 2005
Metastable solid solutions of complex oxides with fluorite and perovskite structures are obtained by mechanosynthesis. Dense ceramics on the base of these metastable phases was obtained by thermal sintering of nanopowders due to kinetic stabilization ...
