Engineering Strategies for 2D Layered Tin Halide Perovskite Field‐Effect Transistors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
2D halide perovskites are promising candidates for field‐effect transistor (FET) applications due to their high stability and suppressed ion migration in the presence of bulky organic spacers. This review systematically summarizes the optimization engineering strategies of 2D perovskite FETs and future challenges, which provide guidance for developing ...

Constitutive Equations of Piezoelectric Layered Beams With Interdigitated Electrodes [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Ultrasonics, Ferroelectrics, and Frequency Control, 2018
This paper establishes the constitutive equations, or linear two-port models, of piezoelectric layered beams with interdigital electrodes (IDEs). The effect of the nontrivial field on the transduction is analyzed. Based on conformal mapping techniques, we derive new analytic expressions for the capacitance, the electric field, and the electromechanical

Fast Neutron Detector Based on Hybrid 2D Perovskite Thin Films

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work presents the direct detection of fast neutrons using flexible hybrid 2D perovskite (PEA2PbBr4) thin‐film detectors. Thanks to their high low‐Z elements content and good charge transport, these materials enable efficient neutron detection. The thin film configuration allowed the operation at low voltage, and offer scalability, flexibility, and

Rational Fine‐Tuning of MOF Pore Metrics: Enhanced SO2 Capture and Sensing with Optimal Multi‐Site Interactions

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A pore tuning strategy to amplify the multi‐site MOF‐SO2 interactions is proposed to achieve an enhanced trace SO2 capture and chemiresistive sensing in highly stable isostructural DMOFs by annelating benzene rings. This work provides a facile strategy to achieve tailor‐made stable MOF materials for specific multifunctional applications.

Nanoscaled interdigitated electrode arrays for biochemical sensors

open access: yesProceedings of International Solid State Sensors and Actuators Conference (Transducers '97), 2002
Nanoscaled interdigitated electrode arrays were made with Deep U.V. lithography. Electrode widths and spacings from 500 nm down to 250 nm were achieved on large active areas (0.5 mm/spl times/1 mm). These electrodes allow for the detection of affinity binding of biomolecular structures (e.g. antigens, DNA) by impedimetric measurements. Such a sensor is

Printed Integrated Logic Circuits Based on Chitosan‐Gated Organic Transistors for Future Edible Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Edible electronics needs integrated logic circuits for computation and control. This work presents a potentially edible printed chitosan‐gated transistor with a design optimized for integration in circuits. Its implementation in integrated logic gates and circuits operating at low voltage (0.7 V) is demonstrated, as well as the compatibility with an ...
