CED (Crack Energy Density) for an Interface Crack
JSME international journal. Ser. A, Mechanics and material engineering, 1994The fundamentals of the CED for an interface crack are studied. The concrete definition of the CED for an interface crack is given first, and it is shown that the CED can be divided into mode I and mode II contributions that can be expressed by domain integrals without any restrictions on the constitutive equation.

Automatic crack growth tracking of bimaterial interface cracks
International Journal of Fracture, 1988The propagation process of an interfacial crack in composite material is studied using the modified maximum dilatational strain energy density criterion, NT-criterion. Some necessary assumptions have been adopted to facilitate the use of the NT-criterion in this case.

The integral equation of the kinked interface crack is solved numerically. The values of K I, K II and G for an interface crack with an infinitesimal kink are used to predict the kinking angle for two different material combinations under uniaxial tension.

The application of Griffith's energy balance argument to cracks at adhesive interfaces is studied. Adhesive interfaces are generally brittle, representing the simplest form of fracture mechanics geometry because cracks are constrained to travel along the interface, giving a defined crack path which eases analysis.

The problem of a crack at the interface between dissimilar elastic media is of considerable contemporary importance in Elasticity, because of its relevance to the problem of debonding of composite materials and structures. Figure 24.1 shows the case where such a crack occurs at the plane interface between two elastic half-spaces.

Interface Crack Problem for Electroelastic Body
Georgian Mathematical Journal, 2000Abstract A two-dimensional crack problem in the Comninou formulation is investigated for a piecewise homogeneous plane. Applying a special integral representation formula for the displacement vector the problem is reduced to a system of singular integral equations.
