Interference management through cooperation
2009 IEEE International Symposium on Information Theory, 2009We consider a two-user interference channel where the source/destination nodes can cooperate with each other by virtue of being able to both transmit and receive. For the full-duplex mode of operation, we characterize the sum capacity of a linear deterministic channel exactly, and that of the Gaussian channel up to a constant number of bits.

Dynamic Interference Management in Femtocells
2012 21st International Conference on Computer Communications and Networks (ICCCN), 2012Femtocells are tiny, low-cost, customer-deployed cellular base stations that are designed to provide supplementary coverage to existing wireless networks. However, naive femtocell deployments can cause pilot pollution and raise interference levels for users connected to macrocells, particularly when the local density of femtocells is very high, such as

Interference management in heterogeneous network
7th International Conference on Communications and Networking in China, 2012Inter-cell interference is the main factor influencing performance in future cellular mobile systems. Interference management has become an important issue in system design, especially in heterogeneous networks since interference is more severe. To combat the interference, coordination between cells in heterogeneous network is considered.

Interference Management of OFDMA Uplinks
2007 IEEE 65th Vehicular Technology Conference - VTC2007-Spring, 2007The next generation of wireless networks will use OFDMA (orthogonal frequency division multiple access) technology in the uplink. In OFDMA, the uplink resources assigned to a user are called tiles each of which consists of a subset of consecutive subcarriers.

Interference Management versus Interference Cancellation: SATCOM Case
2011Interference management and interference cancellation are addressed in the satellite communication (SATCOM) system. We first introduce the two options for a multibeam payload: flexible (FLEX) where allocation is fully flexible in the frequency domain, and conventional on which beamforming (BF) is applied. Further, two optimization problems are proposed,

A Distributed Interference Management for Crowded WLANs: Opportunistic Interference Alignment
2015 IEEE 82nd Vehicular Technology Conference (VTC2015-Fall), 2015Wireless local area networks (WLANs) are becoming denser and thus interference-limited due to heavy traffic from a number of adjacent access points (APs) and stations (STAs). We propose a novel interference management technique for overlapping basic service sets (OBSSs) in such WLANs, which intelligently applies an opportunistic interference alignment (

Topological interference management is the study of achievable rates within communication networks with no channel state information at the transmitter (CSIT) beyond knowledge of the network structure itself. In this paper, we consider topological interference management within the context of a two-cell two-user-per-cell interference broadcast channel (

Interference Rejection and Management
2009Abstract : We consider interference suppression in several wireless communication systems. The first topic treated is self-interference encountered among cooperating systems, for example, the self-interference that is encountered in cognitive radio systems and ultra-wideband (UWB) communication systems.
