Discrete modulation for interference mitigation
2017 IEEE International Symposium on Information Theory (ISIT), 2017This paper analyzes the performance of discrete input distributions (coded modulation) in interference channels. This approach is motivated in part by the necessity of using coded modulation in practical systems, and in part by the potential of discrete distributions for interference alignment as well as the importance demonstrated by Dytso et al. of

Bluetooth Interference Mitigation in 802.11g
2008 IEEE International Conference on Communications, 2008We study Bluetooth (BT) interference mitigation in IEEE 802.11g systems. A robust modified minimum mean squared error (MMSE) algorithm is derived for channel estimation. For interference estimation and cancelation, we consider two cases: the interference non-coincident and coincident with the 802.11g subcarriers.

Interference Mitigation Through Interference Avoidance
2006 Fortieth Asilomar Conference on Signals, Systems and Computers, 2006Wireless cellular systems are inherently interference limited, however a fixed frequency reuse scheme to reduce interference is not optimal for all users. While users close to the base station (BS) see minimal interference and can benefit from using the entire bandwidth available to the system, users at the cell edge can benefit tremendously from ...

Interference Mitigation Strategies for WiMAX Networks
2007 4th International Symposium on Wireless Communication Systems, 2007WiMAX IEEE802.16e systems are intended to provide high spectral efficiency in order to support services with challenging QoS constraints in heterogeneous scenarios. However, when addressing such goal, it is important to consider in detail the impact of deployment related issues.
