Interference-Aware Interference Mitigation for Device-to-Device Communications

2014 IEEE 79th Vehicular Technology Conference (VTC Spring), 2014
This paper proposes a way of applying interference- aware interference mitigation algorithms to device- to-device (D2D) communications in cellular networks for system throughput improvement. One of main purposes for using D2D communications is to offload throughput passing through a base station in cellular networks.

Adaptive interference mitigation techniques for femtocells

2012 IEEE Wireless Communications and Networking Conference (WCNC), 2012
Heterogeneous Networks (HetNets) comprising of Macro and Femto stations are very promising to increase indoor coverage and throughput of the future cellular networks. In this paper, we characterize the interference environment of the Femto HetNets based on the Femto dual strip deployment model.

HF Radio-Frequency Interference Mitigation

IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Letters, 2010
The dense radio-frequency interference (RFI) distributed on the spectrum in the high-frequency band greatly degrades the performance of radio systems and makes it urgent to find an effective and speedy method to eliminate the interferences. The interference mitigation method introduced in this letter is implemented before any further signal processing.

Main enablers for advanced interference mitigation

Transactions on Emerging Telecommunications Technologies, 2012
ABSTRACTThe vision of an interference‐free or interference‐exploiting mobile cellular radio system has attracted lots of research groups. It led to several 3GPP long term evolution coordinated multipoint transmission studies and working items. So far, the results achieved are still far from theoretical performance as expected from network‐wide ...

Interference mitigation based on precoded SRS

2016 IEEE Sensor Array and Multichannel Signal Processing Workshop (SAM), 2016
This paper illustrates an interference mitigation method based on the estimation of an equivalent channel using Sounding Reference Signal (SRS) sequences in Time Division Duplex (TDD) multi-cell systems. The key idea is to precode the SRS sequence with a pre-coder that is computed based on the choice made by the User Equipment (UE) of its preferred ...

Interference Mitigation for Satellite

2017
For the coexistence and increasing interference of satellite-terrestrial network and terrestrial wireless network, we analyze a typical scenario where the GEO satellite-terrestrial network and the 4G mobile communication network coexist heterogeneously.

Mitigating interference with integer-forcing architectures

2011 IEEE International Symposium on Information Theory Proceedings, 2011
We show that the recently proposed integer-forcing linear receiver provides an attractive approach to the problem of mitigating external interference in MIMO channels. The integer-forcing receiver proceeds by first decoding a set of full rank integer linear combinations of the data streams.

Interference Mitigation Based on Enhanced Interference PMI Notification

2012
This paper considers interference mitigation in multicell scenarios where transmitters and receivers are both equipped with multiple antennas. In multicell system, both the local Pre-coding Matrix Index (PMI) and the interference PMI can be utilized by Interference Reject Combing (IRC) algorithm, and more interference information can be obtained from ...

Analysis of interference mitigation in mmWave communications

2017 IEEE International Conference on Communications (ICC), 2017
Millimeter wave (mmWave) cellular systems will enable gigabit-per-second data rates due to the large bandwidth available at mmWave frequencies. Thanks to the small wavelength corresponding to the mmWave frequencies, mmWave systems can benefit from exploiting large antenna arrays at both transmitter and receiver.

LTE Uplink Interference Mitigation Features

MILCOM 2018 - 2018 IEEE Military Communications Conference (MILCOM), 2018
Due to the proliferation of wireless technologies over the last decade, the demand for spectrum access has grown exponentially. The Department of Defense (DoD) faces increasing pressure to free up spectrum for auction to the commercial wireless industry. The recent Advanced Wireless Services (AWS) 3 auction introduced a transition approach in which the
