Macromolecular High‐Affinity Binding Probed by Advanced Fluorescence Techniques

open access: yesChemBioChem, Accepted Article.
Due to the extreme sensitivity and the intrinsic selectivity of fluorescence techniques, high‐affinity binding can be measured even at extremely low molecule concentrations in the picomolar range. In particular, modern advanced techniques with fluorescence microscopes have provided considerable methodological advancements in recent years.

Multi‐Octave All‐Dielectric Directional Coupler Using Integrated Half‐Mirror for Ultrawideband Terahertz Systems

open access: yesLaser &Photonics Reviews, EarlyView.
Fully exploiting the broad untapped terahertz spectrum necessitates extending the bandwidth of practical guided‐wave systems. This work introduces a substrateless quasi‐optical integration platform to meet this need. Classical optical principles going back to the time of Michelson are adapted to a planar, micro‐machined, monolithic‐silicon platform ...

Polarization‐Independent Complex Bragg Grating Filters on Silicon Nitride

open access: yesLaser &Photonics Reviews, EarlyView.
This work demonstrates multi‐band polarization‐insensitive optical filters on the 400‐nm thick silicon nitride platform, complying with the LAN‐WDM standard. The filters are based on cladding‐modulated Bragg gratings with judiciously designed grating dimensions.

1 PHz of Coherent Bandwidth from a Compact Fiber Device

open access: yesLaser &Photonics Reviews, EarlyView.
A coherent comb spectrum with an unprecedented bandwidth of 1 PHz, spanning from the deep ultraviolet (280 nm) to the mid‐infrared (2700 nm), is generated by a compact fiber device. The integrated, novel pulse purification technology enables broadband dispersion control and the synthesis of low‐noise, single‐cycle near‐infrared pulses with a clean ...
