On the Internet routing protocol Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol: is it optimal?
Summary: Cisco's proprietary routing protocol, EIGRP (Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol) is one of the two most widely employed routing protocols in the Internet. The underlying algorithm is reputed to be optimal with respect to the EIGRP metric. We construct a counterexample to illustrate that it is not optimal.

Vulnerabilities in the open shortest path first interior gateway protocol
In order to reduce the number of successful attacks against the US government's computer networks, resources must be invested not only into implementing known fixes and security measures but also into the identification and correction of vulnerabilities before adversaries can exploit them.

Study on network performance of interior gateway protocols — RIP, EIGRP and OSPF
Background/Objective: Interior gateway protocols are used for communication between devices in an organizational network. The setup which includes routers, switches and hosts is simulated in GNS3 software to represent a complex real time enterprise level network. Each protocol is implemented in the designed topology.

Traditional IP based networks, Frame Relay and ATM networks have many disadvantages in the management operation of large networks such as cost, security, scalability and flexibility. To solve this, an MPLS-based VPN networking is introduced that can work with existing deployed backbones and allow organizations to interconnect the dispersed sites and ...

Performance Analysis of Interior Gateway Protocols (IGPs) using GNS-3
2019 8th International Conference System Modeling and Advancement in Research Trends (SMART), 2019Some of the most effective routing protocols used in data transmission are (RIPv2), OSPF and EIGRP which stand for Routing Information Protocol, Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) and Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP) respectively. The main objective of this study is to execute a performance analysis of these protocols using parameters ...

Depletion of vampire attacks in medium access control level using interior gateway routing protocol
International Conference on Information Communication and Embedded Systems (ICICES2014), 2014A wireless sensor network is a group of network nodes which collaborate with each other in a sophisticated fashion. It is built of nodes from a few to several hundreds or even thousands, where each node is connected to one (or sometimes several) sensors.
